Decided to give Pollo Loco another try after a couple of years, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Service was slow from the start, employees seemed to ignore that I was waiting to order, and when I finally got to place my order, it took about 15 minutes to receive my food, even though the place wasn’t busy. To make things worse, the order was incorrect, and the cleanliness of the restaurant was not up to standard. Sadly, I won’t be coming back.

If you're on a tight budget, I suggest the five-dollar bowl. It comes with rice, beans, chicken and you can get salsa on the side.

Everything is usually pretty good. The staff is pleasant and very helpful ? What I get annoyed at is when I ask for juicy, but sometimes receive dried out chicken?.

This used to be our "go-to" place for Mexican style grilled pollo with beans, cole slaw, corn tortillas, and salsa. For years, the food quality was 75% to 95% right on. Their burritos & tamales (Christmas) were pretty good. Their tables weren't cleaned right away, and neither were their bathrooms. The staff used to be friendly and courteous. We miss Pollo Loco.
