The workers are all so kind! Especially the woman with the bob. She was very beautiful on the inside and out. You can tell she wanted you to just have a good time eating there. My friends and I came and she was so sweet to all of us. Thank you for being sweet to us and letting us have a good time. :)

We are from Las Vegas and came to visit The City of Hope. We asked the doctor if my husband could have sushi and he said before chemo...yes. After chemo...not for 6 months. We left CoH and promptly went to Heemo, one of several sushi restaurants in the area. My husband just picked one. This place is wonderful! The food was phenomenal, they were very accommodating (we got spicy garlic edamame...I don't do heat, but husband does so they put the heat on the side) and everyone was so attentive, especially the owner. We will be visiting the CoH regularly for the next 6 months. While husband can't eat anything raw, he can eat the bento box, which I had with the teriyaki salmon. I can honestly say I've never had such great salmon! Thank you Heemo....we'll see you again!

This is our go-to local sushi spot. Their portions are generous and always fresh.Be sure to mention it's your birthday! It's a party.The servers and sushi chefs are very kind. I love when they share complimentary dishes! Not always, but usually.If you haven't tried it, I suggest you do.

First time trying Heemo and was very satisfied with dinner! Came around 9:00 pm and although it was quite empty, they were still very inviting in serving us. :) Sushi rolls here were PACKED, fresh, and flavorful. Parking: Plenty of free parking in the plazaInside:Very clean, spacious, and super cute Christmas tree! Service: Was seated quickly and our server brought out our rolls pretty fast. I saw their Yelp photo of Toro that looked delicious so asked to order some but they unfortunately ran out. However, they were super super kind to offer Blue Fin Tuna and Salmon Collar on the house. Thank you guys !! Order: Washington Phoenix Snow White Cupid Ordered 4 rolls and they were all equally delicious and packed with fresh ingredients! My favorite was the Snow White and Washington roll. Snow White was creamy and smooth with the cream cheese and salmon while Washington was refreshing with fresh chunks of mango that surprisingly paired nicely with the spicy tuna filling and seared salmon on top. Blue fin tuna was on the leaner side but still very yummy topped with fresh wasabi and the Salmon Collar was crispy, perfectly cooked inside, and lightly salted. Soo delicious! Thanks for a wonderful first experience here Heemo ! Service was amazing, rolls were delicious, and we had soo much leftovers. We will be back soon to try the Toro :)

The place itself is very clean and cozy. The service was great as both servers were very attentive and helpful. The sushi was delicious! We got a mango creme cheese roll that was unique, and all the sushi was great too! Highly recommend

The owner of the restaurant apologized for the tipping mishap and refunded my credit card for the tipping overage. The food here is very good, especially the sushi. The pieces of fish are not lacking in size. I would recommend this restaurant and will come again soon.
I'm so pleased I tried this spot. Great service, great food, great prices. I got take out but the ambiance while waiting was just right.Order the volcano roll, classic eel roll, and the brussel sprouts. Loved it all! I'll definitely be back to try more items. I may have found my go-to sushi spot.

Came here for lunch and was seated right away. The service was great and attentative. We ordered the Udon Combo with came with California roll (pr spicy tuna) + 4 pc mixed tempura, ramen and volcano rolls. The soup for the udon was slightly watered down, the ramen was good but it is instant noodle (and I'm here for it lol) so for those that are looking for actual ramen, don't do it. The volcano roll was good but we've had better.Overall, it did the job and we were full. Would this be something we crave for? Not really. I'm sure we'll come back (since we're literally down the street) but maybe once a few months tbh.
