Been a long time customer before the new mandatory membership. Got the new membership as they are the nearest cake supply store to me. Went in during marked business hours and we were turned away. They looked like the were renovating. Not disclosed on Google or Yelp that they were closed. Door was open and we walked in. Girl was remarkably rude to me and my wife. We were told to leave, which made sense that there was nothing in the store. However, she first off could have been polite, she was so rude!!! And she could have just asked what we needed to send us to another of their locations. I did their ridiculous membership for nothing now as I will never go here again.

The Google says they are open. But they are not. They are on vacation. Anyone know when they will possibly return. Membership is going to expire soon and I wanted to renew but I am not feeling like it's a good idea anymore with the lack of out reach. Was good then Covid happened. Now I am not sure if they want to be serious, and that is sad.

Just went in there and was turned away because I was not a "Lilac Member"! When did this happen?? This isn't Costco. The store was completely empty and they turned away money because I was not a member or wouldn't pay the ridiculous "$10 Day Pass" charge!! What genius thought this was a good idea! It's no wonder no one was in there!! I took my business elsewhere where they don't charge me to shop!

I have been going to the store for a few years. Initially I wasn't overly impressed because of their prices however once I got the lilac membership it seemed to make a lot more sense. But last year after paying for the membership .. the pandemic hit and of course they never had any supplies. Okay that's understandable everybody was going through some things but this year when it came time to renew I didn't feel it was necessary because they still don't have any supplies something simple as cake boards they never have it!!!! So when I attempted to buy one item because that's literally what I went in there for that day I was told if I'm not a lilac member anymore that I have to renew membership! First of all the girl had a terrible attitude I never remember her name she is the only one in there that's always in a mood .. everyone else always seems nice and helpful .. I asked well why in the hell would I do that if y'all never have supplie?! She then says well you don't have to but you have to pay $10 to purchase this $5 object needless to say I walked out and I will never go back.

I went back recently to gather supplies....It was a wasted trip. Unfortunately they now have a membership system. THAT IS A RIDICULOUS IDEA! I understand business is low with the pandemic, but making shopping at the store PAID member only, or a $10.00 shopping pass is basically cutting your customer base. Bakers are having a hard time as well. Making me pay more to shop at your store is even more awful. I see other reasons why their reviews are struggling. Good luck Cakewalk.

I was very excited to go into the store, I wasn’t expecting it to be a members store only. You have to pay a membership fee in order to buy anything. If not you have to pay a $10 shopping fee. ?

Don't bother going if you're not a member. I've purchased items here before was unaware of the change. Wasted time driving up there.

Went here on a Tuesday for a strawberry pick up Friday. Was told we were getting huge beautiful strawberries like the picture below. What we received were small and in some cases unripe berries. The employees even acknowledge the sub par quality. If you say anything about it on their Instagram they'll immediately delete the comment or post. Elias produce has now even turned off the comment section for a post where I was pointing out the bait and switch they did. We drove two hours round trip for these, and the customer service afterwards was non existent. We spent $50 dollars ($40 plus a $10 for a day pass).

I bought 5 flats of strawberries where i was guaranteed a minimum of 10 dozen per flat for 40$ each plus my 40$ membership fee for them to give me rotten& quarter sized strawberries! No refund / no credit! They just gave me extra ROTTEN AND TINY BERRIES!!!!

They are always out of items and they dont know when they getting them. And top of everything they advertise a FLAT OF BIG RED STRAWBERRIES for 40.00 you had to pre order them and sign a contract , but the day of pick up what they handed out was a flat of STRAWBERRIES the size of a quarter and most were green and some had mold. When ask if I can get a refund they said No because the contract said no refund. They should've of given at least store credit to the customers asking for a refund.

After years of going to the Cakewalk for my supplies, I was terribly disappointed at the service I received today at the Duarte location. The young lady that seemed to be running the place was more interested in showing her coworker how to correct something on their register. Totally ignored me at the counter and then came to ring me up with an attitude. Don’t think I’ll be making the trip to the Duarte location again. ☹️
