“Earlier this week, I got Palmetto's Bay Blend after a long day at work. It was a full day of work and then an hour long meeting after work hours. I wanted to treat myself to something refreshing, delicious, and healthy. I knew that Palmetto was exactly what I would fulfill that criteria.

The Bay Blend has a rich blend of acai, pitaya, and coconut milk. The acai- one of the purest and most concentrated blend of acai I've had. It tastes clean and refreshing, not powdery & bitter, as some acai blends tend to be. The pitaya (dragon fruit) doesn't taste artificial like a lot of other blends I've tried elsewhere. It truly tastes natural. The coconut milk blend is creamy and fragrant, without being overpowering. The acai, pitaya, and coconut milk flavors really come together harmoniously. The gogi berries toppings were also not overdried and hard to chew like many other acai places. I've had acai bowls in many other places including famous ones in Hawaii, but none have been better Palmetto. I am so pleased that I can get such quality acai bowls locally in the Bay Area!

I had the pleasure of speaking to the owner, about Palmetto and I was genuinely touched when hearing about how she came to open up Palmetto. As an-all things health and well-being enthusiast and mother of two, she told me that she cares a lot about her family's health. She's particular about ingredients her family eats, fitness, preservatives, dyes, plastics, etc. She wanted to feed her children something healthy and delicious, not junk food like ice cream and candy. She did her research and came across Palmetto. She looked into the ingredients and whether the business was reputable. To her, Palmetto isn't just a business venture- it is something she is passionate about and wants to share with others. I think something that makes this particular Palmetto location special is her heart and passion for the ingredients, the taste, and the texture. She is also a very big texture person, according to her, and is very particular about making sure that she's able to provide the best texture as a way to deliver the best acai experience for everyone. I am really rooting for this Palmetto location to do well- not just because I plan to continue to come to this location for my own selfish reasons, but also because I think that business owners like her should do well.
