We came from out of state and found this vineyard on Google Maps. Being that that is how I found it, I cannot leave CA without writing a 5-star review for the owner, Grant. My husband and I were the only ones in the tasting room when it opened and this allowed us to have a nice tasting and good conversation with Grant. We left with very fresh olive oil, dessert wine and 2 bottles of wine. Having been to Sonoma 6 mos ago, we enjoyed Dulzura very much for the feel of a smaller and more intimate experience. Thanks Grant!

This was an amazing vineyard. The owner was extremely knowable about wine and the area around the vineyard. We will definitely return.

I was surprise to run into this place. On occasion when I go to Mexico and cross from tecate I venture on to try different restaurants and such. But this time I stop for a glass of wine. I was not disappointed at all. The owner was a pleasant guy who you can tell really enjoys making wine. His selection was just right for the area and he was very nice to discuss the grapes, areas of cultivation, climate, etc. he took the time to also poor some good wine and the quality was good enough for me to go home with two bottles. I like the tasting room. It was old west like and clean. Overall as part of a wine tasting weekend in that area I would for sure come here. I am planning on going there for another weekend to just visit the rest of the wineries around and enjoy the area. A very pleasant and unexpected adventure for sure.

Go here!! The wines are phenomenal! We struggled to decide which to take home, but left with three bottles! Such a wonderful tasting including some fresh made focaccia w/ incredible olive oil! We had a beautiful experience and can’t wait to return!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the winery. We loved hearing the story of the family! But not only loved the wine but also the property. We brought some meats and cheeses to eat by the little river and drink a bottle of wine. It's very relaxing!

Such a lovely and romantic hidden gem. Feels like you are in a remote place in the mountains. Great selection of wines. You will not be disappointed by stoppin. Have a glass of wine or two and picnic here.

Out of all the local wineries we've tried, Dulzura is our favorite, The cabernet sauvignon that they are currently pouring is unbelievable!

Love the scenic, romantic location. Easy drive from San Diego. Wonderful place for wine and a picnic. Great escape from the city. Outstanding variety of wines. Grant is really informative and fun to talk to about wine and local history. Looking forward to returning.

The past weekend I visited for the second time Dulzura Vineyard and Winery. The wines were delicious, especially their signature Viognier as well as the fruity Merlot. Grant is an excellent host, knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about winemaking. Thank you Grant for a excellent tasting, I will be going back.

Gross and ugly. Would not recommend this place at all. Go somewhere else. Filthy and disgusting.

Best wine in San Diego County. Thought goes into every winemaking decision. The dry Riesling, fumé blanc, and rosé of grenache are all particular standouts.

Wow! I just read that really negative review by Lisa! She was not happy! I feel bad that she could not enjoy this wonderful spot. But, since I have been visiting this place on a regular basis for seven years, I would like to clarify a few things. First, yes there are many rusty things. They are antiques. This is a ranch from the 1880's with a beautiful and charming home built in 1885 and still intact. Many of the old ranch implements are set out on display and they are rusty. Some of the chairs are ancient and hand made. But, none of this has any impact on the cleanliness of the location. The tasting room is small, bright, clean and just right for a small family owned vineyard. If you are there, there is a cool pamphlet describing the history of the Clark Ranch - now Dulzura Vineyard and Winery - still in the Clark family.Second, there is a cat. And a dog named Willy. My advice to the unhappy reviewer: don't visit France, Italy, Portugal, Spain or Rome where you will certainly encounter dogs in the restaurants and cats in the kitchens. But, there is no food served in the Tasting Room so what is the problem? And, by the way, this location is not only pet friendly but child friendly as well.Third, gosh, Grant and Sarah are two of the nicest and kindest people I know. But, they are owners, not waiters or temps trying to make a sale and get a tip. They have patience but when that is worn they will pretty much give back the vibe they receive. Good for them! Finally, the wine! OMG. The recently bottled Rosé and the environmental yeast Sauvignon Blanc Wild are to die for. Read all those good reviews, then make the trip and judge for yourself.

Traveling back from the Valle de Guadeloupe in Mexico, we stumbled on this place, and what a treasure it has turned out to be.The Rieslings are excellent. The Rosés are truly enjoyable. The voignier is one of the best I have tried.I don’t believe they know how to make bad wine.Well worth a visit. After a stressful trip back from Mexico due to mechanical issues, we spent a great afternoon sampling some really nice wines and enjoyed meeting the fine people who own this lovely location.I will stop here again if we he head back through Dulzura.
