Truly one of those diners you find once a lifetime. Great people work there, knowledgeable about the area, attractions, etc. Very personable and friendly staff and local folks that frequent it. Food is great. I look forward to returning.
The unconventional charm of Penny's Diner—a delightful old train car conversion—makes it stand out. The pricing is moderate, and the open-kitchen concept, where you can watch your food being made, is a great feature. Our biscuits and gravy breakfast was superb and satisfying. Their milkshakes are also top-tier and a good value. Most importantly, the staff are genuinely kind and provide service that makes you feel valued, unlike the dismissive attitudes you sometimes encounter...
The view is amazing. The atmosphere is welcoming and very friendly. The food...is diner food. It fills you up but leaves much to be desired. Sometimes. Sometimes it's absolutely amazing. I love this little spot though.
