Hyshinu Ramen, Sushi & Poke

I acc never been there but I saw an Iraqi TikTok creator post bout this place and it was funny so now I'm rating it

The ramen was above my expectations, especially for anything near east county. Sushi was great too. My only "issue" were the flies hanging out inside, but welcome to Jamul. I'll definitely be back.

Used to be our all time favorites but last time my daughter ended up with food poisoning after eating Ramen. I wish it was as good as when it first opened. Not sure what happened. The attention to every detail used to be flawless. 😭

They give miserable portions of fish for a high price and an attitude when you order food.

The food here is truly some of the worst I've ever had for both sushi and especially ramen. Calling it ramen is disrespectful to all other ramen shops. I tried ramen here for the first time and was under the impression I just didn't like ramen, but I actually love ramen. The broth is bland with an off taste, the toppings are ok at best, the meat tastes fine but has inedible fat pieces. The noodles seem boxed. For the sushi the sushi rice is completely unseasoned and even had a "dirty" taste to me. The fish didn't seem very fresh, there was an abundance of cucumber to make up for the lack of fish. The Alberstsons sushi in the same parking lot is better.

Food was okay but not great. Got a 1/2 ahi and salmon poke bowl. The rice was over cooked and chewy but, not inedible. The tempera was not fried long enough because you could taste the batter and slightly gooey. Fiance had pork belly ramen, which again was okay. The broth was good, but the noodles were chewy. The pork was grilled and thrown in, no flavor or seasonings to it. Just tough and bland. Sushi avocado was the only thing that was as expected. But the experience of it all was not geat by the fruit flies constantly flying around our food. Service was fine because you pay first and refilled our waters. But all in all would only go if in the area.

Sitting area was full of fruit flys. Had to swat my whole time for the mediocre food. The edamame was soggy, shrimp tempura was frozen and not fresh.
The beef short rib ramen was tough and covered in a burnt tasting sauce.
Not to mention the floor was so sticky my flips flops kept getting stuck while walking
First time and last time here.

The environment ruined the food. The dining area smells of bad drains, there were loads of fruit flys and the floor was sticky.
The atmosphere was marginal. More like a sandwich shop in a business park than a somewhere you want to hang out and eat.
My sister had a short rib ramen bowl. The meat was covered in teriyaki sauce and was on the tough side; she was more than disappointed especially since she was waving flys away constantly.
I had a poke bowl. The flavor was great. The servings were generous. Unfortunately, the sewer smell and flys were a serious turn off.

The food was amazing! The owner was so kind and accommodating to customers. He even gave me a free meal because of an issue with my rice. I will definitely come back again! We recently moved from Japan to San Diego and were craving ramen. Their ramen is the best! You should try it.
