As a platinum member, I think I am quite familiar with Marriott hotels, but this one is definitely lower than the lowest of the low. The confirmation email clearly stated that "Changes to your reservation are not permitted. Please note that you may cancel your reservation for no charge before 11:59 PM local hotel time on Monday, December 19, 2022. Please note we will assess a fee if you must cancel after this deadline" , but when I have to cancel my reservation on December 18, the hotel refused to refund me! I know El Cajon is close to Mexico, but this is not Mexico and your hotel need to take your words (In fact, I have much better experience in Mexico Marriott). What's wrong with the hotel team? Integrity or your grammar issue? I have to talk to my credit card bank about this, which is the very first time dispute for a hotel...Shame on you guys!

This seems to be primarily a business hotel, but the staff is all very friendly. It's located across the street from the police station, so seem very safe. The room was very nice, but we had a 4-person room with only enough coffee and glasses for 2 people. We did get more from the front desk but seems a little odd to us. Our room was quiet and the beds very comfortable. The bathroom was quite chilly, especially while showering. The shower was huge and the water controls not directly under the showerhead, so adjusting the water without getting soaked was very nice.

All imitation food i don't know why they didn't call it Iraqi or caldeian food you go there order some food and the surprise hit you completely different recipes different spices not what we used to eat and my advice to all of my friends if they want to eat there or if they got invited to eat there read the ingredients and ask them about it they don't right every thing in the menu ask before you get surprised and get mad because you didn't

I stayed in the Courtyard by Marriott in El Cajon in June, 2022, due to a family emergency. I needed a room with excellent Wi-Fi internet connection to be able to work at night. I found the room was excellent as well as the enhanced Wi-Fi. The staff accommodated my need to extend my stay and were very courteous and helpful.

Our spacious room had a view of jacaranda trees (only in bloom a certain time of year.) In any event you get a view of parking lots since you're in the center of town. Inside, outside the pool area is a lovely covered seating section great for a cool drink on a hot afternoon. The bar has draft beer and a selection of other libations. Service in the rooms is dependable and swift. Breakfast is offered but does not have gluten free options. Employees were masked-a great relief to travelers.

Though rather unassuming, the place has a vibe all to its own. Several different rooms within the restaurant and an outside section. There can be a party hosted in one area of the place and it not even bother you because of the several rooms. That was the case when I went once. Food is exquisite. Lamb is so tender. There are plenty of vegan options here, which is a plus. It is NOT Vietnamese food, I don't know why Google Maps has it down as that.

Spent two nights here while visiting friends. Facility is like new, very clean and comfortable. Lobby/lounge was very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Didn’t spend a lot of time in the immediate area but it was very quiet and convenient.

Cannot book an accessible room online. After finally booking a room with a roll-in shower, we were told they would not hold it or guarantee it, and if someone arrived before us needing it, they would give it to them! Had to go through their corporate office to get a reserved room. Also were given the wrong information by the hotel. There are no accessible rooms with two beds. They offered a room with a sofa bed and king bed but wanted to charge us more for their mistake. This also happened to a friend in a wheelchair who tried to book with them for the same event. He stayed somewhere else where a room was reserved. Lovely hotel but not for a disabled guest.

I lost my wallet, phone, ID, etc to theft. I came in the middle of the night without ID, wallet, etc. These fine people took me in and treated me like Royalty until my Credit Cards & phone were replaced. The manager Juan was outstanding, and Giovanna, Melody, Yana & Tatianna took me under their wing - was their "pet project" for a couple of days! I will never forget their kindness - ever. They could have told me to hit the streets until my ID came in 2 days, but they did not. In addition, accommodations were premium. Quiet, comfortable rooms at an affordable rate (I paid them when wallet came - lol). Thank you Marriott for hiring the best staff ever!

Stayed here prior to heading into Mexico. Nice and clean. Had a great bar!! The best martini I've ever had. We would definitely stay here again. Great parking area for trailers, etc. Right next to a police station!
We stayed here for 3 nights. I would like to give 5 stars for first 2 nights. It’s a clean and nice hotel. The service was also good. However, I would like to give -100 star for my last night. My room was located at second floor. The hotel had an event at first floor and played DJ music from 7pm to 11pm. I could hear the music and people yelling clearly. I called front desk and told them I couldn’t sleep. They said they would tell the DJ to turn down the volume. After 15mins, I realized there was nothing changed then I called front desk again. They said they already told DJ to turn down the volume. Therefore, I had to listen those noise for more than 4 hours. Shame on the Marriott brand. Never going to stay here again. NOT recommended

For a Courtyard, this hotel was above average. The bathrooms were a favorite with walk-in, larger than average showers and great lighting. We thought the beds were comfortable too. The lobby was nice with some interesting seating and booth space. The bar wasn't cheap for grabbing a glass of wine and the breakfast didn't look worth the price but there are 2 coffee options within the block and an easy walk. The staff were great and with a location next to a police station we certainly felt safe.
