The tacos here are seriously amazing! I can't get enough of their salsa and the staff is super friendly. Definitely coming back for more!

Service in the beginning was great. However, there was no offer for drink refills or to check on the meal. I had to walk from the outer patio to request the check. It wasn't busy.
The food was alright. I would have liked spicier salsa. I wasn't too impressed, and the prices were a bit high for the food quality and service offered.

I don't know where that 5-star review came from; we also came for the art walk over the weekend. Felt like some apps and a margarita so my group stopped by Por Favor since it's really well located and didn't look bad. Well, looks can be deceiving... First off, couldn't identify who worked there. Couldn't get help, couldn't get seated. Nobody would help us. Finally managed to tag someone and they told us to sit anywhere we wanted outside. Great! Nope. Had to go *get our own menus.* Nobody came to our table. They saw us; we glared at them. Nobody helping us. No drinks. No chips and salsa. Nothing. Gave it 10 minutes, used the restroom, gave up. Found out the lady who was NOT helping us was the owner. Wow. Atrocious. I've never had an experience like this; my review here isn't doing it justice. Avoid this place. I would give negative stars if I could. Wait until the owner sells or passes on. Side note: We drove 15 minutes over to La Mesa and ate at Casa Gabriela and it was fantastic. Vote with your wallet and go there instead.

My boyfriend and I went to Por favor on Saturday, 9/21/24 at around 3pm. We were so excited because we loved the La Mesa location but since it closed down we decided to come to this one for the first time.
When we first arrived, there's a huge sign that says please wait to be seated. Mind you, it was not busy whatsoever. My boyfriend and I waited and the server (short/older woman with blonde hair in a bun) walked past us and completely ignored us. She walked back again and said "you can sit anywhere" with attitude. We were never once given menus or utensils and then she never came back.
We waited for a good 10-15 mins until someone finally asked if we've been helped. Obviously visibly upset, I said no. They eventually had a completely new server come help us while the other server who wasn’t welcoming towards us was serving every other table in sight.
I loved the outdoor seating and food was alright but came out cold. Margaritas were okay.

Staff was great and friendly. I got the Carne Asada plate. It was very chewy and probably one of the worst I've had in recent history. If you go I would avoid this plate.
It was also very hot and the thermostat showed 85 degrees.
