Breakfast Burritos are to die for. Absolutely delicious. And the same person at the counter (dunno her name but feel like she’s always working when we go in) is always super polite and smiling without going overboard.
They just renovated a larger dining room that’s super cute too.
Will be back, but they already know that :)

Went there two times now and had very bad food. First time, the rolled tacos were dry and not very good. And the refried beans were burned. I thought maybe one time....went again and burned beans again! Dry , thick and burned. The relleno and enchilada combo was dry and not great either. Too bad, since this is a nice little place and I really wanted it to be good. Not sure if I am going to try a 3rd time!

When I visit family in El Cajon I go to Burrito City to enjoy a breakfast burrito or a dinner meal. Today it was the Chile Relleno and Cheese Enchilada plate. Chile relleno flavorful and tender. Cheese enchilada full of cheese. Beans and rice authentic. Portion size on point! I'm full!

Breakfast burritos are a bullseye 🎯.

Please visit this authentic and family owned business. They deserve the business, especially in today's generally tasteless fast food business world.

My Surf and Turf had a sharp piece of plastic in it and hurt my tooth. 3 bites in and that happened. Took the Burrito to the cashier girl along with the sharp plastic. Just got a sorry and if I wanted another one, said no since who knows what else will turn up in it. Bummer cuz I had high expectations on my first visit. Was a let down. At least I got a refund.

I’ve been coming to this place for a couple of years now, and they’ve always been great. Quick, friendly service, and even better food quality.

Love getting breakfast burritos here. So fresh and filling. Great salsa bar. Friendly staff and they just recently expanded seating into a larger suite.

The food here was very good and came out pretty fast. We had the california burrito, the campechano, and the quesa birria. They were all good and the sauces on the side were very good.

i got the 3 Birria tacos for lunch today and will definitely be back soon for those again and also to try other things. quick service, friendly staff, clean restaurant. not sure what more i could ask for.

1st thing!!! Food is ALWAYS on point!!!! Customer Service is SUPER nice and professional. It has become my FIRST choice in “I want some Mexican food” mood place to go to. I’ve tried and totally enjoyed the different burritos and menu selections and have yet to be disappointed. The quality and portions are comparable to the food prices. Place is always clean. And keeps a steady flow of customers. I recently had family in town and bragged to my folks “ya’ll gotta try this place” so 8/9 of us went. They left happy. I’m particularly choosy with my “Shops” when in the mood for this craving, so I’m so glad to be have a “City” to go to! They just opened the extra dining that I am excited to also experience. Can’t wait.

I’ve only tried the burritos and tacos from here and it’s the best Mexican burrito and tacos I’ve tried. I struggle with Mexican food shops because the quality of the meat (carne asada) is gross most times but not here food is consistent, fresh, and quality ingredients and I appreciate when food business places use fresh quality ingredient.

We found our favorite burrito spot! We’ve been there a bunch of times now and seriously….Best salsa variety, everyone who’s served was super nice and recommendations were beyond delicious. You definitely get what you pay for with quality of a huge burrito, freshness and kindness from staff. Love this place 🙌🏼

BEans were spoiled , called and just to me to it to them but the girl on the phone disregarded. Instead she went on about how her lunch was great so she doesn’t understand.

Not until I mentioned this review id write did she offer a refund or another burrito.

Mind you it was a veg burrito, and they’re guac is always runny like they spit in it
