My friend and I brought our mom's on an overnight trip to Sycuan. We decided to have dinner at Viewpoint. All of the food was great. We had chicken Marsala, the burger with truffle fries, steamed clams and chicken fried steak.nice portion sizes and beautifully presented. Our server was extremely nice and brought a birthday dessert for us. The restaurant has lovely views of the mountains and the set up is lovely. I'd go back!

Great breakfast at VNK, with the beautiful hostess Jennifer and Brien serving. We had custom omelettes ($19) and a bottle of champagne ($25). Thanks to Blanca for food delivery! I have to say that this breakfast was as good as the best. Brien even recognized that Heather's toast was under prepared and he made the reorder to perfection. We will be back!

I recently dined at Viewpoint Neighborhood Kitchen, located in a casino, and here's my take on the experience. The food, while generally good, did come with a price tag that matched the casino's reputation for being a bit overpriced. Our meal started with a complimentary serving of small sourdough bread accompanied by butter. For appetizers, we ordered calamari, which, though tasty, had a bit more breading than actual squid. The citrus Caesar salad, with romaine lettuce wedges, Caesar dressing, citrus croutons, and cheese, didn't quite hit the mark for me. The salad felt somewhat lacking in terms of size and flavor. One standout appetizer was the chowder, featuring clams and salmon in every bite. The generous chunks of clams and salmon in this creamy chowder won me over, and it's something I'd order again.Moving on to the main entrees, we opted for the 12oz ribeye cooked medium rare, served with zesty chimichurri sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, and broccolini. While the steak was delicious and perfectly cooked with just the right amount of fat, the mashed potatoes were in need of a little extra seasoning. The broccolini, on the other hand, was cooked to perfection, offering a delightful crunch. We also tried the impossible burger with truffle steak fries, a welcomed option for vegetarians. The impossible patty had a great flavor, and the cheese was delicious, while the fries were delightfully crispy.Lastly, we sampled the wild salmon, a seared dish with fennel pollen, grilled asparagus, an orange honey glaze, herb butter, and heirloom potatoes. This particular dish leaned on the sweeter side, which didn't quite align with my personal palate preference, but the person who ordered it thoroughly enjoyed the unique flavor combination.Overall, I'd rate my dining experience at Viewpoint Neighborhood Kitchen a 7 out of 10. The appetizers left something to be desired, and the price of the meal was on the higher side, but there were definite highlights, especially in the main entrees and the chowder. Different people have different palates, so it's worth considering individual taste preferences when dining at this restaurant.

Hospitality and service in the San Diego area is second to none and this restaurant proves it every time. Thank you Luis for fantastic service. Delicious food. Nicely presented. I recommend eating outside on the deck overlooking the pool. Fantastic!Parking: 5 level ramp includes public and valet spots. There is also a car wash in the lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Able to access the deck for outdoor eating

During our stay at Sycuan we dropped in to Viewpoint a couple of times. Just the bar though, we did not venture into the dining room. I did check out the patio off the dining room and it looked like a great place to enjoy al fresco dining. We sat at the bar one Monday morning to grab a drink and throw some money into the machines imbedded in the bar top. Viewpoint was the only bar we could find open at an early hour. The bar was not crowded, besides us there was just one other patron, but the adjacent dining room and patio were bustling with breakfast diners.Ilene was our bartender. She was pleasant and sweet. She made a mimosa for Becky, a glass of champagne with a whisper of cranberry juice. :-) A Modelo for me because I'm not ashamed of a breakfast beer.We had plans for food later so we did not order anything, but the woman at the end of the bar was having the French toast and it looked fantastic. If you're at Sycuan, check out the view from Viewpoint.

17AUG2023 @ 630PM.I come to Sycuan as my "Go To" casino in SD. I've never been disappointed to now. I love everything about this place EXCEPT this restaurant, VIEWPOINT. I highly recommend for NOBODY to come here.1) first things first, I asked if we needed a reservation and they said no so I complied and gathered my party and when we came back we were told it was a 15-30 minute wait and next time to make a reservation.2) we had arrived and a huge party of maybe 15-20+ walked by us and to big surprise they were served before us! That was complete bullshit, the server we had was nice but couldn't find it in me to even leave a tip because of that simple fact that, that party was served before us and there was no efficiency in regards to my party of threes order.3) as for the food, that took almost 45minutes to get to us; the ribeye I ordered was cooked to medium which led me to think "ew it's dry" when I had specifically asked for medium rare. The truffle fries was the highlight of my meal because they were actually really good, the fries alone get a 8.5 of 10. 4) as far as the ambiance, the inside was dimmer giving a Ruth Chris vibe but very relaxed and chill, we didn't even get asked if we wanted to sit outside so I can't speak on that part. Parking. It's a casino so there a parking structure on the other side of the casino, easier access if you're staying at the hotel and take the escalator down to the casino floor. Overall rating for Viewpoint: 3 of 10, I recommend bull&bourbon or the double down cafe before eating here. Me personally, will not eat here again and don't recommend to anyone!

First off, I gave 5 stars because Dominique was exceptional! She gave excellent service and went above and beyond to give make sure everything was perfect. I loved the aesthetics of the restaurant with such a beautiful view. The food was A+! It was one of the best country fried steaks i've had and i've had several before. My absolute favorite thing I had was the cornbread and the butter. I wish I could have had more to take home, but i'll be back for more later.

A surprisingly tasty meal at Sycuan’s Viewpoint restaurant! An enormous club sandwich and side salad with delicious pickled onions for me, and a seriously good burger with steak fries for my husband?.Even had a cup of their enchilada soup, and it was also fantastic. Was not expecting this inside a casino ?. Yeah, it was a couple bucks more than a typical restaurant, but it was served fresh, quickly, and was convenient for us (because we were hungry). The only negative we experienced, was finding the place, as the non-restaurant employees that we asked for help, didn’t seem to know the name of restaurants inside the casino, where there were, or whether they were open or not! This was certainly nothing to do with the restaurant itself, though.

Wow! Disappointed that the buffet is no more, we figured we'd grab a bite somewhere and focus on a couple of hours of slot play. However, the gal at the Club Sycuan counter earnestly recommended Viewpoint when it turned out that Pink Buddha was closed. We looked at the menu and I though it looked pretty pricey, but the visit was part of a birthday celebration, so what the heck! It turned out to be an excellent meal, from the watermelon infused mule, to the fish tacos ,to the steak frites! Even the side salad was outstanding with pickled onions, shaved parmesan, and spring mix. The fish tacos ended up being 3 substantial beer-battered fish filets, perfectly cooked. The steak frites was a 12oz ribeye , cooked to a perfect medium rare, and seasoned perfectly. It did not even need the chimichurri sauce that was included. It came with a piping hot order of truffle fries. There was absolutely no possibility of eating dessert on top of the meal. Our servers were expecially pleasant and efficient. I would not ordinarily give 5 stars to a hotel restaurant, but it was exceptional. It totally deserves it's 4 1/2 star rating.

Went for Lunch and ordered French Dip & Caprese Chicken Sandwich which were both very good. Sat out on the patio which had a nice atmosphere even though it was a little windy out there. Service was good too. Price of sandwiches a little elevated. Doug T

The chef on July 8, 2023, needs to go back to culinary school. I ordered shrimp boil without any shrimp at All!!! Got it redone, now it's missing the grilled bread. Grilled bread was finally served on our table, literally on the table. The server saw it slid off the plate onto the table and just walked away. Offered a complimentary BS and dessert from the manager, I said No. And said it might be served the same way like the grilled bread. No sanitation practices/ knowledge by food servers. My uncle went the same night and ordered the steak. Had it returned because of the smell of the steak. Smelled funky as if it was defrosted. Uncle is a chef so he knows. So the chef on July 8, 2023 really isn't a chef. Should be a sous chef. Should be making big Mac instead.

Ordered shrimp boil with no shrimp. Our server took it back to get it redone. Now my shrimp boil didn't include the grilled bread. Then my Grilled bread was served on our table. I mean, it slid off the plate into the table in which the food server saw it slid off into the damn table and just f'in left like no F given. The server on July 8th dinner time. The manager tried to offer us complimentary to cover our dinner, but I said NO thanks. The manager then offered complimentary dessert, I said No, it might be served the same way, like the grilled bread on the table. I'll be contacting the executive members in regards to my experience here. Worst experience I've had at sycuan Casino for the past 16 years. I've been at Viewpoint more than a handful. This is the worst experience ever. The management needs to have a talk with the so called Chef for tonight's service on Saturday night on July 8th. McDonald's is hiring. She's qualified for the value and quality of food that was served to one of the regular customers. I showed my plate without the shrimp to my shrimp boil to one of the employees who cleans the tables, and he was shocked as well. Our server was great, but the food server was mediocre. the same goes for the chef that night.I'm a hiring manager for a private company. If my employee was one of these food servers and "chef", they'll be on improvement program.
