Amazing pastries. Been coming here for decades. Quiche, chicken pocket pies and blueberry Danish are some of my favorites. But my #1 favorite is cheese sticks. Twisted sticks of puff pastry layered with cheese, cayenne and mustard I believe. Discontinued a few years ago but reintroduced recently. Initial samples were without cayenne or mustard but most recent sample had some mustard I'm sure and was much like the originals I remember. Keep it up and I'll be back for more. I remember fondly cornmeal scones with cheese and bacon too. I like the quiche and the ranch scramble for brunch.

Excellent desserts, mixed reviews on the food. Tuna sandwich about $15 and I don't think it was solid. Albacore. French fries were delicious. Turkey is real turkey breast but the sandwich is kind of plain. Cream. Puffs were amazing. Coffee was pretty good too. Wonderful staff.

My opinion changes every few years when they change rules n stuff. No one takes your order any more ok ... There's a new guy working there which is an improvement from the horrible service once gotten. He's very nice!

Get cheese puffs to enjoy while you wait for your delicious food! Never had a bad or even an average meal here ever. My two (now adult) children never pass up the pumpkin pancakes, but everything here is excellent!

The cream puffs are to die for. Savory dishes are comfort food focused. Some street parking if the little lot is too full or too awkward.

When dining in the restaurant closed down during Covid, I was very sad about it. But little did I know that the takeout would introduce something that I would fall in love with: their pizzas. I’ve noticed that most reviewers don’t even look at the restaurant when Evaluating pizza Restaurants, but that’s a huge mistake. Their pizzas are among the best I’ve ever had. There’s a good amount of garlic in the sauce, and the vegetable toppings are really great and generous. If you haven’t had one of their pizzas, you’re really missing out.

We were so excited to see that we could get an apple pie for the fourth on the Fourth of July and ordered it online. We promptly received a call back telling us that they were actually closed but if we wanted to pick it up from El Cerrito instead of Berkeley, the owner would be there.
So, we went and got our pie! For our inconvenience they threw in another pie! I can not believe how generous and nice this restaurant is!

Went here for a breakfast meet up and enjoyed a two hour catch up with great food and wonderful unsweet iced tea. The large windows allowed us to enjoy the nice weather and delicious treats.
