Not only DELICIOUS, but such a generous and community conscious company. Love love love!
Hey we just wanted to say a HUGE thank you. Youre incredibly generous donation to the Unhoused person's Resource fair and Block Party made all the difference in celebrating the lives of the people who have it hardest in Oakland this weekend. There's a reason I always reccomend Semifreddis to everyone I know and your charitable work is second only to the pastry quality.
More than this charming local treasure and tasty treats, I love this company. A couple of years back, the co-owner generously offered my family a tour of the industrial bakery site. The smell was divine, but it was also clear that this company takes good care of its employees. Many have been around for decades, and I hope this business keeps doing good!

Semifreddi's Bakery is known for its high-quality bread, including the sourdough batard and olive oil bread. The bakery's main location is in Alameda and has been a local favorite for 35 years. Customers can enjoy meals like the tasty grab and go chicken muffaletta sandwich, which is made with Semifreddi bread. While some have found the chicken pieces in the toasted grilled chicken sandwich to be dry, many appreciate the tasty cookies and baked goods, even though some consider them pricey. Semifreddi's is popular for its chai lattes and excellent French Roast coffee, with friendly staff that provide great service. Some customers wish the hours were extended, but the neighborhood feel, including the presence of a puppy in line, makes for a very positive experience.
