Unfortunately, this place was out of many items I usually buy there, like European type bread and other items like sausages, etc.

My first visit after Junket was recommended by a foodie friend. Excellent roast beef sandwich on a fresh and crusty french roll. Several German beers on tap. Deli meats and cheeses for sale including some hard to find German ones. A modest selection of German and British groceries. Maybe the selection will increase as pandemic fades. I'll be back. Trader Joes is just a few doors away so I can combine visits.

We like a lot eating out. Yesterday we went to this excellent place which friends told us about. We enjoyed a lovely time there with delicious dishes and a well-trained crew and a great chief cook. We added this fine restaurant in our list and we will definitely return very soon. We highly recommend.

Store bare.... All the meats were unwrapped and sitting on steel trays with no butcher paper or anything. The potato salad was literally bubbling when I took the lid of from being spoiled. I am surprised nobody could see or smell it when they packaged it. I ordered the reuben. I'm Jewish so automatically my idea and expectation is high. For 10.75, the amount of corned beef and kraut was pitiful. The 1000 island was more sweet than tangy. My son's sandwich was way over priced for turkey even with the avocado and bacon. Took way too long for what we got. We also got 3 boxes of different confections and they were all "bloomed" where there was chocolate and broken. Definitely old. I was coming from about 2 hours away and was super excited to find a real German Style Deli. Major disappoinment.

This spot is worth giving a shot. They serve large portions for reasonable prices. Constantly neat and with good vibes. Will visit here again.

My favorite go to place thus far in El Cerrito. My favorite sandwich is ALWAYS made the way that I like it. Bring your wallet and be prepared to tip.

I dine in this restaurant quite a bit! This is my favorite spot to grab a bite. I go there many times. The meals are fantastic, the staff members are polite and the cost is decent. I enjoy meeting in this spot over a tasty meal.

I have been a customer at The Junket for many years, but not a regular customer. That is now changing. I am going there more frequently, and I expect to become a regular. There are several reasons for this. I grew up eating Schaller & Weber German cold cuts, and no matter where I lived, made an effort to find a source. When I first visited, The Junket had an extensive selection of Schaller & Weber products. That selection dwindled over time. About a year or so ago, the local distributor either stopped carrying the products altogether, or went out of business, there was no Schaller & Weber to be had, and the replacement product was simply not as good. Since then, someone filled the distributorship void. You can't get all of their products, but Heather, the assistant manager, has been great to work with in identifying what is available, and has been ordering varieties that I have had a hankering for. I try to go to Munich and Bavaria every two years, and one of the highlights of any visit to that area is the beer. The Junket has a nice selection of German beers, and when I inquired about the availability of a specific beer, Brandon checked with the distributor and found that he could get it, and ordered it for me. It's not the same as having it at the Augustiner Biergarten in Munich, but in a time of Covid-19, it's just great to be able to get this at all, and a lot less expensive than a plane ticket. The interactions with staff have really been outstanding. They are very accommodating and keep in touch with you about the status of special orders. I can't say enough positive things about the job that Heather is doing. So many businesses have lost sight of customer service and so the Junket is a very pleasant oasis of great service. I look forward to finding out what other hard-to-get goodies are available if you ask.
