It's usually somewhat busy but I preorder most of the time which makes the whole process much easier so I recommend doing that. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. “delicious, high quality bagels, toppings, and cream cheese spreads! came on a wednesday morning and there was a small line, the food itself is amazing and there is a wide variety of bagel options ranging from bagels with cream cheese, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch sandwiches. drinks are also available but didn’t try. it is on the pricier side with the BEC at nearly $17 without avocado… but it is in santa monica so that checks out. definitely recommend to UCLA students looking to try something new, food is great!!“

“Now I love me some bagels. I eat bagels several times in a week. I walked by this place and I said let me look at the menu. The prices seemed pretty good. Then I couldn’t even decide what I wanted because it all looked so darn delicious. People kept trickling in and I’m like oh shoot this place is busy. It was around lunchtime. I was greeted every employee in there seemed super happy with smiles on their face like they loved their jobs. They all worked fast. There was about four or five people making bagels stocking everything and just doing their job very thoroughly. But I will say this if you’re not a bagel fan come here and it will change your mind from how they pair their sauces, meats, eggs, veggies everything altogether you will fall in love with this place. Best bagel ever for the first time customer I will be back. I will become a regular.“

Budget lunch options in Sawtelle are hard to come by. At NY Bagel and Deli, you can get a good old fashion new york style bagel for less than $10 (including an add on and the egg surcharge). Their bagels seemed to be made in house. I found their everything bagel to be delicious! It was very filling as well.

I came later around 1pm and they ran out of hashbrowns. Hoping they have hashbrowns the next time I visit!“

“Stopped by Sam’s bagel to grab a lunch sandwich. Around 1:30 pm there were not many options left. I’ve ordered a Turkey sandwich on a Jalapeño Bagel.
Sandwich comes with lettuce and other veggies and sliced turkey ham, 11$ for the sandwich is a fair price. The taste was good but nothing special, just a good sandwich. It’s more a shop for to go orders. Service was ok, had to wait until the staff took my order even if nobody was in front of me.

“I ordered the nova lox and bagel on the jalapeño bagel. It comes with cream cheese, smoked salmon, red onion, capers and tomato on your choice of bagel. I recommend knowing what you want BEFORE you get to the counter. This is a busy spot with fast-paced ordering. Food comes out pretty fast!“

“I went there to get breakfast around 8:30. We didn't have to wait or anything but it looked pretty busy. I got chocolate crossant and drip coffee (house brend). The crossant could've been a little more crispy but the coffee was real nice. They have counter seat inside and many outside seat too so it's good that they have good options for seat too in case it's too hot outside.“
