“By far the BEST coffee, juice, bagels and donuts I have EVER had!!!It’s my first stop when I get to LA and believe me I dream of their iced vanilla ice coffees when I’m home in Canada. First time ever having flavoured coffee without it being flavoured from a sweet syrup. They infuse their beans so bo sugar or cream needed for me.Tip: they do sell the coffee beans so you can bring it home.Favourites: Black Vanilla Ice Coffee, Fresh squeezed orange juice, cheese bagel, glazed donut!The juice is like biting an orange directly. So fresh and delicious!“

“I’d been meaning to try Maury’s for a long time and finally made it.

Everything tasted fresh and exactly what I expected from a good bagel shop. I had the Lox open and really enjoyed it.

Coffee was good too. I always wish places served a bigger cup, but it did the job.

One thing that really stood out was how fast everything was. Ordered, got my food, and was eating within minutes. I appreciate that.

There are only outdoor tables, so don’t count on getting a seat if it’s busy. Also no restroom or sink, so come with clean hands.

They also have refrigerators with juices, smoked salmon, pickles, and other things to take home.

Definitely a place I’ll come back to and try more of the menu.“

“I came on a Saturday morning around 10am and it was pretty busy, but ordering and getting our food was relatively quick.

We tried the original, elote, and garden bagels and they were all really good. The stuffed bagels are very rich so the bagel sandwich was a nice fresher option. The bagels are super soft and thick. The price isn't bad at all for LA and the portions are decent.

We didn't try any drinks but they looked really good and we'll definitely go back to the other bagels!“

The tuna salad bagel aka The Bruce was exceptionally fresh and perfectly balanced, and the cookie made leaving even harder.

I got the Evil Steve on a jalapeños cheddar bagel for brunch and it was perhaps the best brunch bagel of my life ! The combination of slightly spicy pepper jam with tangy goat cheese smear and delicious smoked turkey wrapped in the jalapeño cheese bagel is extraordinary. Best part was the crunchy and crispy shallots to add that final profile in an already special bagel . Out of this world good .

They are also offering a gluten free bagel which is also rare to see .

If Layla were to ever expand to other states they would have a huge following.

“One of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had! They have a variety of breakfast sandwiches, burritos, fish, and other breakfast foods!

The staff were kind and welcoming. They have a variety of chips, drinks, even Mexican Sprite, Fanta, and Coke!

I got a plain bagel that had turkey, cheddar cheese, scrambled eggs and a hash brown. I devoured the sandwich and it was ready within 5 minutes of ordering!

While there are many good bagel places in the city, this has the best bagel quality and value in my opinion. They do everything, from bagel with shmear and lox to BEC and even pizza, all for an affordable price. Highlight is the sandwich combo which is a fat bagel sandwich and a combo. It's my go to for a filling breakfast for a long day!“

“For me, this is a top 5 LA coffee shop because it’s solid and straightforward. Great latte, cold brew, and drip coffee. Laidback ambiance and no pretentious energy. Delicious pastries and cute trinkets for purchase. Staff have always been friendly. Parking isn’t necessary hard to find but I rarely get a spot right in front…just gotta do a lap or two.“

“Mike at Mama Donuts decorated our donuts as a turntable for our daughter’s 50th birthday. It was a vinyl record party theme! The donuts were amazing! The decor, the taste. They fit the theme and they were scrumptious. Mike was so great! He was responsive and his customer service was excellent. I highly recommend Mama’s Donuts whenever you want donuts!“

“Since I was 4 years old in 1980, I have always believed Western Bagel to be the best bagel in the Los Angeles area (and possibly the world). But random happenstance had me doing business on this particular block of Ventura Blvd and craving a bagel at the same time. I went into Abraham bagel and ordered my favorite, the onion bagel. It is difficult to explain the experience; bagels are 80% texture. And Abraham Bagel wasn't just better than Western Bagel. It was a unique, interesting texture that I'd never experienced in a bagel before. A little bit harder than the Western, but also in this zone of perfection. This bagel that I ate forced me to re-evaluate my bagel scale. I am in awe.“

“The plain bagel at Hank's is the best bagel in Los Angeles. I love Boil & Bake but they're in Costa Mesa. These run a very close second. Also, I always toast my bagels so I am rating this bagel as the best in Los Angeles - upon toasting! Get this bagel. Expensive but highly worth it!!“

“I had the Pastrami Sandwich. I believe it’s called Noi sandwich. It is the best of this kind I’ve had. I have had a lot. The meat has great taste without being salty and the unique way they slice the meat makes a great difference.
The Noodle Koogle is delicious as well. Not overly sweet creamy inside which crunchy noodle bits on top.“
