“My partner and I went to the Alfalfa Larchmont location in October of last year on a whim. We wanted to find healthy, clean food for after we hiked to the Hollywood Sign. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious salads and wraps. The donut machine was down at that time, and we really wanted to try the gluten free donuts, so we vowed to visit the Santa Monica location on our next L.A. trip. On Sunday, we achieved that dream and got 3 gluten free donuts- the lavender, maple, and chocolate. My favorite was the maple! I got a buffalo goddess salad and my partner got a cobb wrap. I loved the salad because I am a sweet-potato head hah...I love the atmosphere of this place- the peachy colors and succulent plants. It feels so L.A. (I am saying this fondly as someone who grew up here). Our experience was fun and joyful. Also we recognized the person who served us at the counter (wish I had gotten the name), because it is was the same friendly person from the previous Larchmont trip. I just love this place!“

So of course I had to stop by here as soon as I saw the store name. I did NOT expect to find the best donuts I've ever had in my life. Period. I walked in and was greeted warmly and decided to just order the Original Sin and their version of classic milk. They were so nice and gave me another donut for free which was the Obrama. Everything was so scrumptious. I loved that the donuts weren't too big. The quality of the donut is so good that it only needs to be a smaller size to have the same effect as something larger. The outer texture and the crispness reminded me of the blueberry m&m donuts that they sell in OC where people line up for hours to buy. The donuts here taste better because the inside texture is a lot lighter and isn't as dense so you don't feel disgustingly full afterwards with regrets. I cannot wait to come back and get some for my family and friends. I wanted to test it out myself first prior to sharing with others. Yum! Also their classic milk was soooooo good and complimented the donuts so perfectly.“
“I must have died and gone to doughnut heaven. The donut texture is fluffy with a pleasant slight chew, and not oily or too sweet for the most part. Most were priced $4-5 each but I find it worth it for the quality of the ingredients.Our favorites are the misugaru (roasted soybean) because it's mild and nutty and has a chewy filled mochi inside. The black sesame is also intensely nutty with a chewy mochi inside too. My wife loves the sweet potato cream the most because it has fresh sweet potato puree along with milk cream, and it's the Korean/Japanese sweet potato that's delightfully sweet and nutty.Tiramisu had plenty of rich cocoa powder accompanying the tangy cream (probably cream cheese mixed in it?). The bitterness of the cocoa was the best together with the cream.The strawberry milk cream had a small amount of strawberry pieces but the cream was so milky rich yet light at the same time. The blueberry one is the exact same except with a few blueberries so I slightly prefer the strawberry one.Matcha creme brulee had strongly flavored matcha cream but I'm not too much of a fan of the sugar crust top. I might still try the regular creme brulee next time to compare the regular custard.Our least favorite was the apple cinnamon because the icing was too sweet but the presentation was beautiful with the pieces of apple inside.We saw quite a line build up after us at 10am so I'd come early since they open at 9am until they sell out! The parking lot is nice and big so it wasn't any trouble finding parking. The mall also has other interesting stalls like a kimbap and udon one if you need some savory to offset the sweet.“

“I was introduced to Sidecar Doughnuts in 2017. I have been a fan since. My favorite donut from them remains to be the Saigon Cinnamon Crumble. It is more of a cake-like texture and I like almost anything cinnamony. This donut tastes more like coffee cake. Coffee and sugar are my staples for everyday living. So, it is almost impossible for me not to love this donut as it has my basic necessities wrap up in one perfect little package! This time I ordered the Vietnamese ice coffee to go with the donut. It didn't taste like a traditional Vietnamese ice coffee. Instead, it tasted more like an iced latte. So if you are looking for a traditional Vietnamese ice coffee, don't get it from there. Don't get me wrong, it was still good coffee just not what the name said it was. This location is off Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica about 7 blocks from the beach. I really like their packaging as well. The boxes the donuts come in are modern and simple with bold gold letters of the store's name. This location is small and has seating outside. There is metered parking on the street. Service was just okay. I wish the people working there could have been more friendly. All in all, this premium donut chain that started in Costa Mesa in 2012 is still very popular and is definitely worth trying for the first time, and going back for me!“

They had an outstanding selection of donuts on display in their glass cases as well as a nice, large menu board offering up all kinds of snacks, drinks, and sandwiches.The four donuts I sampled on my visit to DK's were fantastic. It was honestly a very hard decision. I had to limit myself to four because when I buy donuts, I have very little self control and know I am going to eat them all the same day. Besides, donuts are always best when they are fresh.The strawberry nutella cronut style donut was amazing. Lots of rich, hazelnut spread flavor mixed with strawberry. The plain glazed donut was top notch. I always try to get a plain glaze and use it as a baseline. A great plain glaze donut is always a treat for me. “This is a really cute tiny spot right across the metro on Flower Street. The inside is very minimalistic and aesthetically pleasing. I did hear a lot of wonderful things about their matcha but sadly they were out for the day, which is okay it happens; I'll definitely be back for it! The owner was super sweet and a very helpful guy. All the menu items come with oat milk automatically, which is cool- you can always substitute with another milk except for the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte. I got the two best selling coffees which was the Cinnamon Toast Crunch + G Spot - I loved the Cinnamon Toast Crunch one it was perfectly flavored, but the G Spot one I had to toss as it was sooooooo sweet it was like drinking sugar; but Im sure that can be pleasant for sweet tooths so I'm not judging! The menu is super extensive so Im pretty sure there is something for everyone to love! Pricing is very high up there, but Im also not going to judge on that as cost of goods are flying through the roof for restaurant industries as well. Overall pretty good :)“

“I am so glad I finally got to try Alfalfa! If you're looking for a healthy, stress free (there's a parking lot!), pretty in pink, zen-like breakfast, lunch, or dinner - Alfalfa is it. They also have a location in Santa Monica if you're in that part of town. For my bevvy I tried the Vanilla Oat Milk Latte which was wonderful. I also got the Buffalo Goddess Wrap with medium dressing. The only thing I wish I did was add avocado which I was planning on doing but slipped my mind when ordering. This wrap was SO fresh and light but also had lots of flavor. I really enjoyed it. Lastly, I had to get a donut. Got the maple walnut - this was the only thing that tasted a liiiitle off. Maybe because it was gluten free? But when you have it with the coffee it makes it better. Prices are pretty normal for LA. The staff was absolutely lovely. Since it was my first time I had a few questions and they were able to help me pick out the perfect meal.“

“By far the best bagel I've ever purchased at a donut shop. I was servicing my car across the street and decided to stop by this shop. I was greeted by super friendly people who were happy to help. Although this item wasn't on the menu they were super accommodating and said they would be able to do it anyways. It's clean, there's a couple tables you can sit and enjoy your meal at. I sat down to enjoy my bagel and as soon I bit into it the texture and freshness of the bread caught me by surprise. It tastes freshly baked and it's so fluffy and delicious. I will gladly stop at this shop again and support their business for a delicious and fresh bagel rather than Starbucks' overpriced frozen croissants. 10/10 recommend!“

The upside to that is that it's very easy to customize if you want.A dozen was $19.50 (filled donuts are an extra 25 cents each) and they threw in 2 free donuts.
