“We love Donut & Sandwich Station. The staff is awesome and they always have the best fresh sandwiches. Another great thing they sell are papusas and the cortido and salsa that comes with the papusas is deeeee-licious! I love their croissant sandwiches. They're so fresh and the sandwiches come with pickles, jalapenos, lettuce and tomatoes. I usually get no tomatoes because I'm allergic to tomatoes. Definitely a great place to come and grab a bite to eat!

I would place captions to my photos but every time I do, nothing is saved. This has been an issue for more than a few years with Google Maps.

“GLAZED DONUT OF THE GODS. I have been searching LA for decades trying to find the best glazed donut and turns out this little place nearby had them the whole time. There are lots of good cake donuts in town but the glazed donut is wily art. I prefer this place to all the popular LA spots like DK's, Blue star, Sidecar, Eagle Rock, Donut Friend, Voodoo, etc. The glazed donuts I ranked highest prior were K D village donuts in Ventura and Adams Ave donuts in HB (glazed there always sell out it seems). To be a good glazed donut you have to have the proper sugar to dough ratio, a glaze that is flaky and not wet, and the dough must not leave an oil aftertaste. Sounds simple but so many spots you can taste the oil. I find Krispy Kreme to have a strong oil flavor and too little dough for how sweet it is. They sure do look nice though and I'll indulge in warm one here an then. But one lone Krispy Kreme is enough for me where as at Tasty's I've had 4 many times and not felt gross. The same family works and makes the donuts everyday and there are perks for loyal friendly customers I'm learning. Just saying! The place closes at 2pm so got to get there earlyish, my sugar cravings are usually around at 3pm which is why it took so long for me to try this place. The fact that they dont have to stay open long is also a sign they have good donuts and I do see people ordering the sandwiches and coffee a lot.“

However, there were absolutely no bars i.e., chocolate, maple, nor were there any buttermilks. I was there before 9a on a Saturday! They don't have a crisp with a chew like a classic donut, nor are they dense like a cake donut. They are very light and soft and extremely sweet. Universal City Walk located in Studio City, California ( Los Angeles) is a little bit different than the original locations.. the Voodoo Doughnuts at the Universal Studios City Walk location tends to be a tad bit heavy handed on the butter... My blueberry cake doughnut was saturated... overly saturated with butter and it was heavy & my bag was covered in butter oil within minutes...

I also don't like that the franchise location at Universal Studios City Walk does not participate in the Voodoo Doughnuts promotions; therefore WHY am I participating in emails & updates if I can't take advantage of the promotions offered via Voodoo Doughnuts email club... totally not fair, and I guess I will un subscribe if I can't get offers like the other Voodoo Doughnuts locations that are not in my area...

“After receiving the most disturbing donuts from Dunkin’ that my boyfriend ordered against my will, I was left longing for a DECENT Apple Fritter. I decided to Google a location that seemed close to me and found this place. I called to make sure they had Apple fritters on a Saturday morning and I was happy to hear that they did. I was pleasantly surprised by the look and taste of my Apple fritter. It tasted just as it SHOULD taste crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They are cash only so be prepared as I was not and had to leave to get cash since I refuse to use a third party ATM as I’ve had fraud in the past due to using one. I ordered a dozen to replace the ones my bf got from Dunkin’ and was extremely pleased. I should’ve taken pics but all the pics listed on Google are pretty accurate. I’ll be driving back here next time me or my bf get a craving!“
