“Mike at Mama Donuts decorated our donuts as a turntable for our daughter’s 50th birthday. It was a vinyl record party theme! The donuts were amazing! The decor, the taste. They fit the theme and they were scrumptious. Mike was so great! He was responsive and his customer service was excellent. I highly recommend Mama’s Donuts whenever you want donuts!“

I got the Evil Steve on a jalapeños cheddar bagel for brunch and it was perhaps the best brunch bagel of my life ! The combination of slightly spicy pepper jam with tangy goat cheese smear and delicious smoked turkey wrapped in the jalapeño cheese bagel is extraordinary. Best part was the crunchy and crispy shallots to add that final profile in an already special bagel . Out of this world good .

They are also offering a gluten free bagel which is also rare to see .

If Layla were to ever expand to other states they would have a huge following.

“I had the Pastrami Sandwich. I believe it’s called Noi sandwich. It is the best of this kind I’ve had. I have had a lot. The meat has great taste without being salty and the unique way they slice the meat makes a great difference.
The Noodle Koogle is delicious as well. Not overly sweet creamy inside which crunchy noodle bits on top.“

“Was looking for a traditional bagel same style as I get back in NYc and came across this place after some search. I believe if you looking for just a traditional bagel this is really good and reminded me of nyc bagels I don’t like Thai new trend of bagels that’s half open.

My order was a delivery order and upon checking out I realized was buy one get one of the bagel lox I made a request to have each bagel different type of bread as well light cream cheese and my requests where accommodated which I appreciate a lot

“Stopped by since they offer a gluten free choice of bagel. Location was good, just parking may be difficult. The lady one that took my order was extremely friendly and helpful since it was my first time stopping by. I got the Game Over bagel on a gluten free everytbing bagel. Gotta say that the bagel surprised me since most gluten free ones aren't as enjoyable realistically. But this one had good flavor and good texture. Besides that, the flavors they put on it were great and well balanced. I'd go back again for sure“

But the smoothies… I’m feeling a little bamboozled lol I asked if the strawberry-banana smoothie was made with real fruit and was told yes, and that the blueberries were too. When I received it, unfortunately, it tasted and smelled more like syrupy/canned fruit than fresh fruit, and it was really sweet.

Don’t get me wrong, it was good! lol. I just expected a healthier, FRESH-fruit smoothie — that was the goal! If I wanted that much sugar this early, I would’ve just gotten a donut! 🥲😂 Next time I’ll be very specific. 😭

“If you’re searching for the best restaurant in Beverly Hills, Modern Bread and Bagel is a must-visit especially if you’re into elevated brunch and some of the best bagels in Los Angeles.

We started with the Nonna bagel, and it was incredible perfectly toasted, rich, and packed with comforting flavors that feel like a modern Italian twist. Then we tried the G’Day Mate bagel, and this one was next level super flavorful, well-balanced, and definitely one of those bagels you’ll keep thinking about after.

For something fresh, the Santorini Summer Salad was so refreshing and vibrant, with the perfect mix of Mediterranean flavors light, crisp, and ideal if you want something balanced alongside the bagels.

And you have to try the chocolate babka latte… this was unreal. Sweet, cozy, and indulgent without being too heavy easily one of the best specialty lattes in Beverly Hills.

“By far the BEST coffee, juice, bagels and donuts I have EVER had!!!It’s my first stop when I get to LA and believe me I dream of their iced vanilla ice coffees when I’m home in Canada. First time ever having flavoured coffee without it being flavoured from a sweet syrup. They infuse their beans so bo sugar or cream needed for me.Tip: they do sell the coffee beans so you can bring it home.Favourites: Black Vanilla Ice Coffee, Fresh squeezed orange juice, cheese bagel, glazed donut!The juice is like biting an orange directly. “This spot is where the Coffee Bean used to be on Wilshire and Western. It’s a fairly new spot everything is clean and in its place. The menu is huge but everything sounds delicious. I ordered the chicken BLT and I love it. The owner and staff were so inviting and kind to me. They helped me pick what Would help soothe my craving for something delicious and savory. All I can say is wow at this point. I highly recommend that people try this place if you find something that you didn’t like try something else because there’ are plenty of choices on the menu.“

“First of all, whole wheat bagels you’re available here. My favorite is the whole wheat sesame toasted and dressed traditionally with lox, cream cheese, tomato, red onion and capers. A Saturday tradition with me. Highly recommended.“

“Come early, when the bagels are fresh. If you come late in the afternoon, you'll be biting into bagels as hard as a hockey puck.“

“The manager is very friendly and professional. I am in a wheelchair, and some of the front desk staff ignore me. I came with my nurse. She waited in line twice and told them I needed to order, showing I was where the handicapped sign was. Both times, they ignored her and went to the next customer. When I said you sipped me, they said I have to wait in line. I did three times but they ignored my nurse. The staff also does not assist my nurse. She was sold two tiny cream cheese instead of the ones in the refrigerator. Plus i do not get a bakers dozen ever. They sell 12 but i say its 13 and they corrct me. I never have these issuss in Van Nuys. Nor when the manager assists me.“
