Restaurant got one of our orders wrong and the older lady at the front of the store was not helpful at all. She wasn’t able to tell us what any of the desserts by the register were, didn’t even try to describe them. Yet she acted rude when we’d ask simple questions about the ingredients, which she also was unable to answer. Cannot recommend and won’t be returning

I love their chicken tikki masala, dal makhni, and basamati rice. I've also ordered their vegetarian samosas for a Christmas party. I along with the people at the party loved them.

We used to come here periodically before Covid and then hadn't been around for a while. Was a great place, had some great beers. Tried a lot at the little bar in the back. Finally got back here when I was at the vet next door. Looks like Covid may have hit him hard. Freezer was half full (compared to pre-Covid when it was packed). There were beers there that were literally 3 years old. I hope people support this place and get them back on their feet. I took a star off because of the 3 year old beer but the guy who runs this place is a good guy (no place should be selling 3 year old beer for any reason)When they get rid of the old beer and get the freezer back up with good, new beers, we'll definitely buy beers here again.

One of my favorite spots in the east bay.Ok so you walk through a grocery and tucked in the back is this little bar and about 4 tables serving amazing food.Standout dish weirdly enough is the okra. Fried onion appetizers is always a go to.Great neighborhood vibe, and the owner/ bartender has the nicest smile.

I was told by friends who live in the area that bottles served pretty good Indian food. The butter chicken and baingan bharta were two dishes they suggested we try. Both were great, and to top it off, they provided full-size naan. I love this place and have officially named it my home-base Indian restaurantBB

The Indian restaurant in the back of Bottles is seriously the best!!! It’s crazy that not many people from India come here but rather frequent Vik’s Chaat. Maybe they haven’t heard of Bottles yet and hopefully run across my review. My friend said it taste like his grandma’s cooking. They are from India.I love the saag paneer, Rogan Josh, eggplant and butter chicken!!! Not too crazy about the okra. The naan is super buttery and delicious. Excited to try all their other dishes!!! When they bring them to the table, you can feel they are teeming with Life.Again, I don’t know why more people from India don’t frequent this restaurant and store. It is mainly enjoyed by heavy-set Americans who come to the bar to watch sports (sad puppy face). Help spread the word that this is the best Indian restaurant in the Bay Area and beyond!!! The best.

What a really awesome find in El Sobrante! The name only encompasses one of its attributes - a variety of beer and wine with a bar in the back! I discovered the front is also an area for Indian groceries, lunch (Punjabi Kitchen - Tues-Thur 11a-3p), middle of the store sells traditional Indian clothes/fabric, etc. I've been looking for a place like this to get legit ingredients to make authentic Indian recipes - my next food conquest was Dal Makhini and I was able to find everything I needed and then some! There is a ton of decently priced beans, spices, some fresh produce, imported Indian products- even the spicy pickled mango my partner loves! Looks like the place is family-owned and the lady working there was helpful in pointing me to the right direction for spices. Definitely coming back to get more Indian products, try Punjabi Kitchen, and taste the variety of beers at the bar!

Great Tasting Indian food tucked away inside a convenient store. I normally pick food up from here, but there is a bar and dining area hidden away behind the isles. They actually have a decent selection of beers and mock/non alcoholic beers, as well as gluten-free beers which are hard to come by. I've order from here maybe 10-15 times now and yet to have a bad experience.

Rotating droughts, lots of obscure beers by 6 pack & 1/2 case. The restaurant's food is spicy, hot and full of flavor.
