Been here more than a few times. Not a large place. It's a classic local bar. People know each other and appear to be accepting of new customers. Encountered a few bartenders and they've all been unfailingly friendly, although I'm a beer and bourbon guy, so I'm admittedly pretty low maintenance. They have a pool table that is hotly contested by some very good regulars. I'm decent at the game, but don't expect to win unless you get them drunk first. Pours are about as expected. Rarely heavy or light. You get what you pay for. They have multiple (4) TVs, so you can request any local sports event, but they do not have any packages, so not a place to see out-of-area games. Never seen a fight or any drama. It's... nice. A good place to have a beer and meet new people.

I absolutely adore this place! Never met a more friendly bar...and I bartend hahahaha! I'm pretty friendly and they take the cake....super nice bartender on a fridays night. Another bartender was so kind to buy me a drink. I'll be back!!! The owner is FEMALE and she takes care of her staff Much respect...
This bar is the best! Just moved to El Sobrante, and I was looking for a nice bar to get some drinks. This bar was recommended to me by a nice gentleman that I met at the Hotsy Totsy. As soon as I walked in, the bartenders and patrons were super nice and welcoming. The drinks are cold and delicious. This is the type of bar where everyone knows your name, and it's the absolute best! Also, the karaoke is super cool. I highly recommend it! Just be sure to have cash on you, this is a cash only bar. There is a ATM machine too in case you forget.
