retro style diner with Mexican and American food. Large portions of food, but the taste was just OK. good value, daily specials. very good service though they were short staffed.

Food was good, enjoyed the atmosphere. I was chatting with a couple of the servers and they were very nice! Definitely 5-star restaurant but I'm writing this to let whoever I spoke to tonight know that I came home and my AC was fixed 🙏 lmao So uh, come here if you want your appliances to magically be fixed I guess?

Hubby and I went produce picking at Davis Ranch. We were done and hungry. Went to Bert's Diner. Hubby had chicken fried steak, we should have shared it was huge! Delicious 😋 I had Bert's omelet, little bit of everything, and I like peppers and onions and so I was very happy. Still we should have shared it was alot. It's either that or we are getting older! Waitress was on top of it and very interactive. We got there and it was middlin to busy but we were in and done in 45 min. With 2 to go boxes, belly full we headed home. We like to try hole in the wall places, meaning a non franchised establishment and we are happy we found Bert's Diner.

We usually stop by breakfast time but today we stopped during lunch it was not a good experience at all. Waitress was rude, service was really bad. Food was cooked in really bad oil. Overall experience really bad. All other times I been here I really enjoyed my visit

We stopped to grab some Root Beer floats on the way home from Twin Peaks, very good 👍🏼 I was greeted immediately 😀 I didnt get any food. The ice cream was good

Bert's Diner ..hiding right there in plain sight, so do what I did and go in for the absolute best grilled chicken sandwich this side of Elvis Presley's kitchen! It make stopping in Elk Grove worthwhile. 5 ☆☆☆☆☆
