Inside, cashier Ma Teresa provided excellent customer service, making guests feel welcomed and checking on food quality. The restaurant was spotless, and staff members appeared busy cleaning or cooking but still took the time to be polite and friendly. Customers reported that the staff on Kettleman in Lodi, California, stand out for their kindness and professionalism.

Some customers tried menu items like the El Diablo and The Hangover Burger. The El Diablo burger had a lot of jalapenos and was enjoyed for its spice, but it lacked cheese and had dry meat, with habanero sauce that was too mayonnaise-heavy and not spicy enough. The Hangover Burger was disappointing, with paper-thin bacon, hash browns that fell out, and an over-fried fried egg.
