Business is closed. All windows covered up, and a "coming soon" sign is on the building.

Worst ever! Ordered online for the whole family and they called to cancel saying the restaurant had to close last minute as we were leaving to pick up the food.

So overpriced and completely underwhelming food. Won't be going back. Honestly better off going to Panda Express.

Great food but closed for renovation 4/5/24. Google was right that it was closed today.

Hidden Sichuan is a one of the best Chinese restaurants in Elk Grove in the small mall across from Raising Canes and next to IHOP. We love the food and the people that work their. They are also one of the best kept secrets in Elk Grove. We love the General Prawns , Sichuan chicken and shrimp, Lunch is a real deal with your main entree that comes with Steamed or fried rice or noodles and a cup of soup for around $12 it is a real deal. Dinner portions are huge and priced right, Thank God for their take out business which is brisk or they would be in trouble. Anyway if you are in the mood for excellent Chinese food at a good price, please skip Raising Cane's or God forbid In N Out and try them you will go home happy and if its a dinner portion enough food for at least another full meal or two. Sorry for no pictures we will try to remember for the next review because this place is a Hidden Jem in Elk Grove!

Tried this place out for the first time. The chow mein was good & the honey walnut prawns were wonderful. The General Zao's chicken & orange chicken were dry. Fried rice with all the meats was ok, nothing exciting. We knew it was going to be iffy when we went to go pick up the food & the dining area was completely empty.

Food is good here but this metal piece was found inside my egg flower soup today. That’s pretty scary. Imagine if you swallow that.

They said it'll be 20 minutes for pickup. I waited over 50 minutes! Ridiculous. Came home to soggy weird tasting orange chicken and hard dry beef. They didn't even say sorry or offer anything.

Authentic Szechuan food. Price is reasonable and worth the drive. This maybe the only authentic Szechuan restaurant in Sacramento.

Visited for a Lunar New Year dinner. The women working in the front were so warm, kind and attentive. We ordered broccoli beef, honey walnut prawns and our server suggested a spicy beef dish served in broth. The flavors were amazing! The honey walnut prawns were the best I've ever had. Plump tender prawns in slightly sweet sauce with meaty fresh walnuts. The brócoli beef was delish too. The brócoli was huge and cooked to perfection. The beef broth dish (cannot remember the name!) included a variety of spices that I couldn't put my finger on but were amazing. What a treat! We will definitely be going back.

Dan Dan noodles, Spicy Pork Dumplings, Kung Pao Shrimp and Curry Lamb...ALL AMAZING! Add to that the attentive and knowledgeable service and painstakingly beautiful decor which includes a beautiful accent wall and this restaurant covers plenty of bases for an intimate dinner or choices galore for a large number of people. The flavors pop and the service sizzles. This is our second time here and it won't be our last, had to give them a review this time!

Absolutely my favorite Chinese restaurant in Elk Grove, from their cold noodle salad to their onion pancakes it is fantastic! Not your usual American Chinese, but true Sichuan cuisine. Plus they have amazing vegan choices. Do not miss!

Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options are great. I opt for multiple kinds of Tofu but they have mock meat as well. General Zao Tofu is super great here.

PORTIONS: family style, sharing portions PRICE: appropriate SERVICE: table side, they speak mandarin, there is a kid doing her homework at the stand so you know it's legit... SURROUNDINGS: clean and open FLAVORS: (+ great, ~ ok, x no) + double cooked pork + eggplant BONUS TIP: I want to keep it hidden because I love it so much and it's the closest I've gotten to my mom's cooking, but it deserves praise....

A few years back, I ordered some orange chicken and some noodles from this place. When I came in to pick up my order, I remember the gentlemen suggesting I try something new. He suggested Dan-Dan noodles. I decided to add that to my order so I can see what Dan-Dan noodles are all about. From that day forward, whenever I come here, I focus my orders on their Sichuan specialties. I highly recommend Dan-Dan Noodles and any of their "Magic Chili" dishes. That day I got some Magic Chili Chicken. It was so flavorful, and not too spicy. Though you can adjust spiciness when ordering. I really like eating the chili in this dish. It has a nice crunch to it, and really adds texture to this dish. The dining area itself is a good size. I haven't dined in for a while, since I'm a Home Body haha. Whenever I'm there picking up my order, there is ample seating. The person at the front is always attentive and friendly. If you are tired of the "common Panda Express" type Asian food, go try Hidden Sichuan for their Sichuan specialities.
