Always a great time when we visit. The servers are great. Took 1 star due to a couple of experience with hosts on child pricing. Overall a wonderful experience.

Our server Jo was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond for our family. Made the experience incredible. But it was not just her. The entire staff was extremely attentive and catered to our every need. We will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone.

We chose this quaint little Brazilian Steakhouse by word of mouth. It was fantastic, the regularity of the meat servers was spot on. The steak and lamb were hot every time. The service over all was top notch. It was cozy and the food quality and variety was awesome, especially given the size of the place.

We made a reservation and we were looking forward to have dinner there and when we walked in the host took us to a table in front of the buffet table where customers walk by to get their food so we asked her if we can take another table away from the entrance and the buffet, even though there were four open tables inside, she refused and did not want to accommodate us claiming that all tables are reserved. I looked at her and I told her we have a reservation too, why can’t we just move to another table. She just stood there and didn’t even try to do anything about it, so we left and went to Palermo where we were greeted nicely and felt warm welcome.

Fogão Gaúcho was amazing, but our server Gabriel truly made the night unforgettable. He was attentive, thoughtful, and went above and beyond for our family. He remembered our favorite meats, kept our table spotless, refilled waters right away, and even surprised our son with a special ice cream sundae. The food and salad bar were fantastic, but Gabriel’s outstanding service is what will bring us back. 10/10 recommend and we’ll definitely return!

We came here for our 25th anniversary dinner was delicious 🤤 the service was exceptional and overall experience was extremely satisfying! One of the only upscale places in Elk Grove. Additionally, we appreciated the intimacy on our special day!

This was our first time at Fogao Gaucho and the service was excellent. They greeted us very warmly at the door, and immediately sat us down taking their time to explain how the servings would be. Once we selected our food from the wonderful array of dishes that were so beautifully arranged, we sat down again and enjoyed the delicious food. There were at least 8 types of meat offered to us on a consistent basis. It was never ending! But we were in heaven. The “cheese bread” that they offered was fluffy and so tasty. Everything was delicious! We loved everything and recommend this restaurant to the world! 💕💕💕

It was good, but couple of things weren't. I had been to Galap Gaucho in Napa & my expectations were too high. We went for our anniversary on a Friday night. Our sever was WONDERFUL. She was attentive but not intrusive and deserves 10 stars, she was the best part of the dinner. I didn't realize it was in a strip mall, that would've caused me to adjust expectations, but I still would've been disappointed. They didn't have the grilled cheese. We asked multiple times & were told they'd bring it out, but finally, asked our server (rather than the guys serving meats, and she came back & let us know they were out of cheese. I know it's not everybody's thing but I would have left before being seated if I knew they were out of cheese. Our server apologized & I said thank you but I know it's not your fault. The weird part is that the manager(?) came over in a couple seconds to tell us it wasn't his fault & no one told him to order more cheese but her had put in an order tonight. That was just too weird. The salad bar & sides were not good. Everything seemed like it was leftover from another night cheese with dry edged. Suizzler honestly has a more extensive selection. The seafood options were sketchy at best. I didn't have any seafood but my husband had the lobster bisque (with no lobster pieces) & another seafood selection & felt quite ill (stomach & runs that night). The rolls were great & hot. Our server brought a dessert out because it was our anniversary, which was kind. We do NOT intend to return & would be very cautious if anyone asked us if they should go. The ambiance was lovely & our server was amazing but the food was ok-ish & not worth the cost but the weird comments around the cheese were quite surprising.

The picanha is hands down my favorite—flavorful and tender every time. The side dishes, especially the fried bananas and creamy polenta, complemented the meats perfectly. Service was excellent, and everyone was cheerful.

Not a steakhouse. Worst Brazilian Steakhouse we've ever been to. Plastic cups, plastic silverware to dine in. Serve yourself and they weigh your plate. Horrible quality of meat and only a few to choose from. Overpriced, tasteless , they make you take the fat and gristle, and a major disappointment. Super embarrassed we invited friends to try with us. Yuck!

I went in with the attention of eating AYCE. The one odd thing that happened was how they weighted your plates. It doesn't look like they zero or deduct the plate weight. In that case, if you happen to eat more than 2 plates (assuming it's 1.25 lb each), then you're better off with the AYCE option.
All the sides and meats were all delicious except for the chicken thigh which were a bit too salty for me. Salsa side was definitively a highlight for sure. This place was a bit strange where if they couldn't cut the meat into small pieces they would give you the entire thing. It's weird b/c that's a lot of meat to try without knowing the flavor first haha.

Such a great choice for dinner! I travel for work and decided to give this place a try, and so glad we did. Their pay system is interesting but nothing to be intimidated by. The food was amazing, especially the ribeye and plantains.
