We made a large take-out order online for the family lunch and were given a 20 minute time. Before we got there it turned into 30 and when we got there on time it was another 20 minutes. They were busy but not really in control of their schedule. The food this time was average Dim Sum but nothing to write home about. I guess I have been spoiled by the high quality of Dim Sum in other places. Given the lack of alternatives, we will continue to visit but a little better time management and improvement in the quality of the food is in order.

I am giving a 3 rating because of one dish. Peking ribs. At first bite they taste great but after you begin to chew, it hits you, “it’s all fat”! (Have had them twice now, same issue) Thy could easily source a better cut of pork. Why this exceptional restaurant would such a inferior cut seems out of character. The sauce they use is very tasty. The green beans, Hong Kong noodles with pork broth are items to come back for more. It is dumpling heaven. Sorry to deliver negative news. I will eat here many more times.

Great food and great service. We go all the time in this neighborhood restaurant. Prices are ok for the portion size, My favorite is the garlic noodles and fried pork chops as an app. Yummy. Dumplings are awesome. Usually there is a short wait.

2/11/20 Dinner choice as I've been craving soup dumplings and this came up on my search. Upon arrival it seems like I'm going to a casino type of place thanks to all the bright lights and loud music coming from various establishments. I was greeted and seated quickly. I called upon entering here since they were closing soon, and they assured me, they could serve me in time to their store closing time. I ordered pork soup dumplings and was taught how to properly eat them without them spilling out, as they're served piping hot. You dip your soup spoon in some special sauce (vinegar and soy sauce? And some chili sauce and pierce your dumpling) the sauce spills out into the spoon and it's just all around super yummy. I also ordered, spare ribs, Chinese broccoli mixed with green beans made with schezuapn sauce along with an order of Chinese pancake, and an order of steak and potatoes per the waiters' suggestion. I had so much food and 75% of it went with me as their portions are pretty large. The ambiance here is very causal and inviting. The bathroom is limited but the fact that they have a step stool for children is a nice touch. Overall, a great experience and I would return here if in the area.

We have gone now a handful of times and we are consistently happy with the service and food. The wait staff is genuinely happy to work there and love to help with suggestions or answer questions. The food is so fresh and good. It’s busy whenever we go even on a cold Monday evening. If you’re in the area I highly suggest giving it a try!!

We were seated quickly. Menu extensive. We were served ojr drink's n tea. The tea pot was very nice with a flame under to keep tea hot. I.like that touch.we ordered and wait wzs not too long to get ouf appetizerof egg rolls which came piping hot!they were the best. Then came singapore curry noodles nice and spicy, then the shui mai and congee with yau jow gwai with it and condiments We enjoyed al) lf it and took a lot home We enjoyed our time and we had good meal Wd were celebrating Christmas as we . Seldom get together Wonderful experience

We visit Journey at least once a month for the last 2 years and it is always outstanding. Food is always hot, fresh and served quickly and efficiently! The soup dumplings are their specialty and are delicious. I love the hot oil dumplings and the shrimp yang rice is great. Our favorite restaurant in Elk Grove.

Just ordered dim sum here and was totally satisfied. The delicious juicy soup dumplings and excellent crispy fried potstickers were my favorites! Will definitely be coming back to explore more on the menu! Dreaming of bao now...
