Just left without eating. My wife and I arrived and we told the host, a table for two. He said he would get a table ready and I sat at the waiting area. A couple women walk in and said, "do we need to seat ourselves?" The host, came back out of the dining area and I stood up. One of the women said, "where do we sit?" I walked in front of them and he looked at me and said let me put you over here. He walk me to the bar by the front door and sat the women in the dining area where he had been setting up a table for my wife and I. When my wife came out of the bathroom, I told her that we would go somewhere else. We are at Chevys where we were seated right away in the dining area, not the bar.

Restaurant online says open but front of store shows closed. Closed unexpectedly without notice even to the staff. Spoke to an ex chef and they said they were not warned about the closure. At least let everyone know or even correct it online.

I ordered a 10oz sirloin steak medium rare, the server brought a steak to our table and asked who ordered a well done steak, both myself and my colleague said we ordered medium rare, she walked away and came back with the same steak looked like they put some butter on it to make it look juicy. The steak was well done and terrible. I chose not to send it back, I ate half and that was it for me. I told the server to tell the chef that the steak was over cooked but I have no confidence that she did. I bragged to my colleagues about the food and service here, I've had many excellent date nights here, hopefully this was a fluke.

Table for 7. Pretty empty inside and we had one server that couldn't carry more than one glass of water at a time. When we finally got water, it took forever to get our bread, wine and drinks for the kids. We couldn't hear the server because he was whispering and mumbling. My food came out cold and my wife's was tasteless. The salmon was pretty good luckily for 2 of us. I'm shocked this place is still open and I'll never go back there again. Years ago I went and it was a completely different place.
Extremely disappointing. I remember going to this restaurant when it was in Stockton and the food was so amazing, that you would have to get a reservation days in advance. This place was empty and its not a surprise as to why.
They gave us one waitress for 15 people. She kept giving us the wrong items. It took over an hour for us to get the food we actually ordered and no one was satisfied with anything that they had. I have never tasted such bland Italian food. It was the first time I didn’t take food home from a restaurant.

3 pm I decided to go for an appetizer and glass of wine
#1- the calamari was old and not crispy. Sent it back. They were outa of sauv blanc vino
# 2- ordered crispy Brussel sprouts. Came out burnt. Even the waiter said the cook said may be overcooked. Why would someone send a BLACK charred item to table?? Sent back
#3 bruschetta- don't ask and don't order it. Ive had plenty of authentic fresh, to advise you to stay away.
# 4 2nd batch of Brussels, not burnt but not quite roasted through... and no crispy pancetta topping. My bad since I didn't see that was extra.... so ordered it. Tasteless and hard. Couldn't eat
Food was not worthy of take home. I now understand why I have local favs I frequent often. If I'm going to spend money, I want quality eats. NEVER returning. I Could have gone across the street at BJ and had decent food. We need more quality eateries in Elk Grove. Guess I'll have to keep driving to Midtown.
