This place was ok if its all you have around you but the food didn't sit well with me. I had to stop eating cause my body was telling me to venture no further!! So I listened and for the rest of the night I was paying for it. Won't be going back for seconds. Try it out if you dare.Vegetarian options: You can ask for no meat on most everything

We have been here twice now, and we have had a great experience both times. The first time here we weren't prepared to sit at a large table with another family, but it's part of the fun!The beef and chicken are so moist and tender.We got the spicy garlic edamame to start, and it's really delicious.There's nothing wrong with the service, but we did have to ask for things like water and extra napkins several times before we got it. But all the staff's attitudes are great, friendly and welcoming.This is not some place you stop by to grab something quickly. It's an experience and a mini show with your chef. It takes time.Dietary restrictions: They worked with us when we needed to omit a couple things from the veggies. They didn't make it a big deal, and they followed through on it.

I came here before the pandemic and it was excellent but not sure if they changed ownership or what but I didn’t have a good experience there. The rice they brung out looked like it was pre fried already. It was flavorless, even with the garlic butter. the rice was still cold even coming off the grill. It wasn’t cooked long enough. The yum yum sauce taste more like mayo. I wanted to love the place again but couldn’t, I just paid and left. We weren’t happy.

My family dined at Wasabi on 9/29/23. We had an odd and disconcerting experience. My daughter and I each ordered meals that included steak. After a single bite I immediately could tell the meat was spoiled. Shortly thereafter my daughter spoke up and said that her meat also tasted foul. We quietly told our server and did NOT ask for any compensation. We simply wanted to make the server aware the meat was definitely off and we did not want anyone to become ill with a food borne illness. We both had plenty of other food and did not need any replacement. Unbelievably, our server said that management wanted the meat returned so that we would not continue to eat it and then ask to get it free! Unfortunately, from that point on, we were treated poorly for the rest of the evening. We were also told that the meat tasted bad because of the way ordered it. The truth was that the meat was spoiled, plain and simple. I did not want a refund, nor did I ask for one. I just wanted to continue with my evening. Sadly, the restaurants attitude was defensive from that point on. What we got for the remainder of the evening was an accusatory, uncomfortable vibe. What we did NOT get was an apology, just a few simple words express regret for what happened. An apology goes a long way.

UPDATE! Now that I've talked to a few friends and family members about my experience here I feel I need to update this review. I GOT FOOD POISONING FROM THE SCALLOPS! I was literally the only one on a group of 22 people to order the scallops and the only to experience severe food poisoning symptoms. I experienced them within 30/49 minutes of eating the scallops to the point I had to pull over ON THE FREEWAY and my mother had to drive the rest of the way. The symptoms lasted a good 3 days. Everyone told me to call but considering the result I got from telling the waitress my chicken (the whole group of 10 chicken) was dry. I said theirs no point. But here I am to say. THEY GAVE ME FOOD POISONING AT THIS RESTAURANT!!!

I've never really had great food at any hibachi style restaurant and this was no different. The food was just ok. I got the garlic fried rice with scallops and steaks it was just cooked with butter ( a lot of it ) and some basic seasoning. I was actually pretty disappointed in the garlic fried rice it wasn't very garlicky even though you have to pay more for it... the star was really chief Jacob he put on a great show and the kids loved it. After all I do really come to these things for the entertainment. The service was great attentive and friendly and the inside was more spacious then expected. That was nice since we brought a stroller in and they were able to accommodate space for baby.

So last night started off bad for my birthday dinner in sac. So we came here. This place is so good. The food is great the service was great and the cook are funny and good to. Second time we been here and we will be back well worth the drive.
