I had trouble with the kiosk.
The young lady who prepares your meal came and helped me and I was able get the dishes I desired.
The food was delicious.
I recently dined at Koja Kitchen in Emeryville, and it was an incredible experience! The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal or a special occasion. The menu is diverse, featuring delicious Korean-inspired dishes that are bursting with flavor. I highly recommend trying their signature Koja burgers; they are unique and absolutely mouthwatering! The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was top-notch. Overall, Koja Kitchen is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy fantastic food in a welcoming environment!
$15 for my lunch including a drink. In the future, i would probably get the fries. The sandwich had plenty of pork meat
Never, ever order online. They start making your order about 10 min after the pickup time, so like 30 minutes until after your order. They will make orders placed in person and after you ordered first.
The food is fine, but it sort of seems more delicious than it actually is.
I really wanted to like KoJa Kitchen, but I just can’t give it a great review. Here’s why:
First off, the menu is super appealing—lots of tasty-sounding options. Ordering at the kiosk was a little slow, but since we were the first ones there, it wasn’t a big deal.
We got the braised pork bowl, the short rib koja (because seriously, when do short ribs ever disappoint?), and the soy fried chicken wings. But it took 25 minutes for our food to come out, and no one else was waiting. There were three people working, so I’m not sure why it took that long. At least the seating area is pretty nice with good vibes.
Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the hype. The wings were hot, so they seemed freshly cooked, but the short rib and braised pork were just scooped out of a big container without even being warmed up. I know because I watched them make it. Plus, everything was drenched in sauce—not really my style.
The wings were decent, though. Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside… but again, smothered in super sticky, sweet sauce.
For the wait time and the price, I definitely expected better. 🤷♂️
Favian needs a raise ! I’ve gone to multiple koja kitchen locations and he by far has the best koja burger and kamikaze fries I’ve ever had!! i’m so happy I live next to the public marketplace because this is the best comfort meal.
Customer service very bad and I never eat on this restaurant,,, the lady she is working there don’t have any experience for kitchen work..
Lovely staff and the food hit the spot! My go to lunch spot in the food court
They need to be closed down I tried to refund this nasty old taco she is highly rude and they don't wash there hands had to remind them plenty time to keep clean it's very unprofessional Do not eat here ! They don't deserve any stars please walk around the mall before eating here and read all they review it's all the same thing bad service
This establishment is highly recommended and offers an exceptional experience. 👍🏾👍🏾

The staff here are absolute trash. I work next door. I ate here two days in a row because I was depressed and wanted comfort food. My mom had just died. The second time I ate here one of the staff insulted me and said I can’t believe this guy eats here this often. Never eat here.

Amazing food and great portion sizes! Tried the Ahi Bowl and the Shrimp Avocado - both 10/10. Food came out really quickly and was way above the Public Market's quality average. Very reasonable prices too. Service was friendly - you can also order from their kiosk. Will 100% be back!

Looked great. Piece by piece, spit every bit of so-called short ribs into napkin. Flab and gristle that couldn’t be chewed. Rice like mushy baby food. How do you mess up rice? Disgusting.

Tried Koja Kitchen in Emeryville Public Market today, I ordered the short rib bowl and wifey ordered the land and sea bowl, they were both delicious! Food came out fast and portions are big, will come back and try other dishes next time!

The quality of food and service at this location has gone straight down the toilet.
Ordered their umami fries and it was half the portion it used to be. Yes I understand food costs have gone up, but it was more of an “amuse-bouche” than a side of fries. One gets more product in a small fries at a national fast food chain. The meat was ice cold on top as well.
For a single small order it took well over 10+ minutes. My coworker who ordered at the next stall, was server and well into eating their meal before I even was served. Two people staffing and only one seeming to work.
Definitely will never return to this location, even though it is a five minute walk from the office.
