Came here during usual business hours and just closed for no reason. Took an uber across town to get here. Lame

This spot is hit or miss. Depending on what day it is, you get a different personality that can completely affect your experience/enjoyment. Other reviews have weighed in re: race/racism and I definitely get the same vibe. I always drop $ when I'm in the neighborhood and on my last visit this past weekend, I left after a sake tasting. Black women with $ to spend don't need to be treated rudely. There are plenty of other spots....

I've stopped with my cousin to have a lunch and get some drinks. I really want to say that it's a very cool place , Bartenders are super friendly and talkative. I love their cocktails and draft local beers. I definitely recommend this place. Cute, friendly and quick service.

I frequent the Periodic Table. I like shiba ramen a lot and I've gotten to know the bartenders Emma and Jade very well. Emma is a really great bartender and just a good person in general. She's genuinely invested in what the patrons have to say and their experience. She's a really laid back and cool person with good taste in beverages, but also art and music. I don't consider myself a heavy drinker or a bar person. I really just come to chat with Emma and Jade as well as some of my friends that frequent the bar. All in all, it's always a quality experience. 10/10

Good spicy ramen walking distance from hotels when you’re travel. The Whole market is a pretty cool concept.

3:20pm Saturday aug 13 2022 the bartender threw a menu at us with no words and then left to go on break . Horrible service

When a majority of the reviews are about the rude bartender woman who doesn't help customers and is rude...you would think something would change. Nope she's still there with her bitter attitude, doing anything to avoid working and helping customers. Witnessed her also being super rude and offensive to a fellow employee she was training. The larger woman bartender needs some lessons on customers service and communication.

ATMOSPHERE Japanese and science inspired bar. SERVICE Excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. FOOD / Drinks Good selection of Sake and fun signature drinks and cocktails. Everyone loved their drinks. They were out of a couple snack items we wanted to try (but work with the restaurant next door for most dishes, including ramen, gyoza, etc). But we were so impressed with the Lotus Root Chips we got a second order and will definitely be returning to try the things we missed. OVERALL A great spot for drinks!

Jade is literally the best. Knows what you want before you want it. And is what every bar tender should strive to be. I may or may not be 4 beers down

I never witnessed racism until I walked into this place. The place was practically empty when the lady who was working behind the counter (tattos all over her hand) boldly told someone to leave in a way that I could not believe, i purchased a beverage so i can let her finish eating and she ended up kicking both of out becuase she said i escalatedc the issue.. I made a incident report and hope management reach out to me so we can heal this type of situation in the future. I tried to speak to her in a nice way but I guess because I'm of color also, she just did not want to communicate with me also.

It's ok. I had the Novel Agnostic advertised as an American amber local Oakland beer which certainly tasted like a milder IPA! I don't like IPA's. Should of asked for a sample taste first. Oh well. Gal serving the beer more interested in talking with a bar friend than serving one.

Great little place to try out Sake. Very knowledgeable staff and they know their stuff. I took a sake flight for me and my friend and she suggested the 3 sake that I have posted here. The Chikurin, Tokubetsu and Maboroshi. The Maboroshi was more sweet and fruity while the Tokubetsu felt more boozy. I liked the Chikurin best followed by Tokubetsu. Definitely going back.
