Great little place to try out Sake. Very knowledgeable staff and they know their stuff. I took a sake flight for me and my friend and she suggested the 3 sake that I have posted here. The Chikurin, Tokubetsu and Maboroshi. The Maboroshi was more sweet and fruity while the Tokubetsu felt more boozy. I liked the Chikurin best followed by Tokubetsu. Definitely going back.
We had a great time tasting different kind of sakés, with interesting explanations.Owner is very dedicated and quick to answer private messages. She made sure there would be someone knowledgeable about sakés on the day we came.They have so many different sakés, but also Japanese whiskeys and gins to taste, we'll have to go back!
The offerings (draft beer & sake) at the Period Table are top notch. The draft beers are all "craft," i.e. you won't see any Budweiser or other overly mainstream stuff there. They are a little pricier than the new bar that just opened up, but I think the slight premium is worth it.I recently had a sake/cheese pairing and it was quite good.
