Great service and a very friendly environment. The GM took my call for a reservation and took care of me every step of the way.

Dinner with a friend was such a lovely experience. Great food. I had the baby back ribs(fell off the bone)and my friend the ribeye steak(deliciously tender). Staff were friendly and attentive. A 3 piece band softy playing jazz music in the room added to the warmth of the ambiance. Truly a memorable evening.

Came here with some friends for the first time and was pleasantly surprise to find this gem. There is street parking along with a couple of spots in their parking area (about 8 car spots). We had reservations and were seated right away. This was on a Tuesday night so it was not crowded but the tables were busy and they were spaced away from each other so it didn't feel like we were all sitting on top of everyone. First thing - the staff is extremely attentive. Without even realizing it empty plates were being taken away and drinks were made sure to be filled. Our table ordered a number of items, but here is what I tried Skuna Salmon - Very filling, BUT I do wish the salmon had more flavor and skin. I kept wishing to be able to add salt. I also wish that the greens that came with it were more. Overall it was good, but would try something different Bourbon Glazed Brussel Sprouts - very delicious as many other reviews have indicated Charcuterie board - there was an assortment of different delicious cheeses along with additional items to pair it with Red Wine - any bottle will be delicious

Beautiful place, which is the main plus for me. The Service was ok. Food seemed good, although not many vegan options. Our service kind of forgot about us and I was dying to get out of there after a long-winded first date.

We love The Townhouse! Housed in a former Speakeasy, this restaurant is the best in Emeryville. For an amazing dining experience, we highly recommend it. An inventive but approachable menu that is California Cuisine inspired, yes still very European. They always have a meatless option that is absolutely wonderful. Some nights feature a lovely jazz duo.

Excellent local spot with food indoor and outdoor dining. The Black Manhattan cocktail was delicious, as was the cioppino and Papa's pasta, and cesar salad. I don't recommend the sauteed artichokes. The service was friendly and efficient. We'll be back!

As a single woman, I enjoy going there, sitting at the bar, and feeling very safe. The team is welcoming, the bartenders are respectful and engaging. it's just a place near home to end the day. Taking a new friend there is great as the food is excellent, nice variety and pleasure to eat. Definitely a great place to visit and enjoy.

It's just ok. The ambiance is wonderful, there's a private parking lot, and the wait team is attentive. I agree with others, the food is okay. Considering the price, I was expecting more. A surprise hit was their pear dessert. Just the right amount of sweet. Good to try once. Moving on.

This is hands down our favorite restaurant in the Bay Area. Todd and his amazing staff always go above and beyond in welcoming us- we are often visiting from many areas. The food is delicious! Special favorites are the maple- bourbon glazed Brussels sprouts, ahi tuna salad, and salmon. Don't forget the dessert

Wanted to try out a restaurant in Emeryville. I looked-up places and came across Townhouse. It is 4 stars so thought I would give it a try. I was able to make a reservation the same night. The atmosphere is good, fun, eclectic - loud. Service: too busy and perhaps not enough wait staff. I had to wait until after the appetizers were done to get my drink. Food: Caesar salad: ok, but on the bland side. Chicken wings: did not taste fresh, bland, little flavor - rubbery. Tuna Tartar: good, fresh, flavorful, but not enough crackers to go with the portion. Babyback Ribs: dry, stringy, not flavorful nor did it taste fresh. Brussel Sprouts: overcooked, too soft. bolognese: noodles overcooked and meat sauce did not taste good - I sent it back and was told I would get a box from the manager as he "does not believe in wasting food" and to "give it to someone I know." I never got the box or food back. I ordered fish and chips and the fish was not fresh or flakey but dense and dry. The french fries were overcooked - hard. I did not want to try the deserts. I left hungry and with a $320 bill (tipped 20%). This restaurant is in a great location and has a good atmosphere. Focusing more on the food quality & more Wait Staff, would make this place a true destination.

We hosted a birthday dinner for our daughter at Townhouse, and it was wonderful! We had contacted several Berkeley/Emeryville/Oakland restaurants, and Todd at Townhouse was, by far, the most responsive and easiest person to work with, helping us with our menu selections and answering all of our questions. And when we arrived for the actual event, everything was simply perfect. Our party of 24 was seated on the fully heated and enclosed patio which was very pretty (with hanging string lights) and felt like a private area even though we didn't occupy the entire patio. The tables were set beautifully, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent! We started with meatballs, chicken wings, farro, sweet potato fries, brussel sprouts, and artichokes as appetizers, and our guests loved all of them. Every staff member we interacted with was kind and attentive. We wouldn't hesitate to host another event here in the future!
