Great drinks and good food. One of the OG tiki bars. Ok, morning the original location, but...

Great food and drinks. This place is much more than you might think. It has been around a long time for very good reasons. Chinese oven adds great flavor to the food. We will definitely return.

Points off for rude service. The services talked to my group and I like we were stupid. We simply wanted a soda, we saw all those alcoholic drinks, we didn't want that. My fool of a beat friend gave her a tip anyway. I hope someone else will be working there next time

I really wanted to enjoy my experience at Trader Vic’s in Emeryville, but unfortunately it was a big disappointment. First off, I couldn’t get through their phone line to make a reservation, I made 3 attempts. When I got there, it wasn’t terribly busy, but the inside was uncomfortably warm and muggy.
The drinks were honestly not good. Very underwhelming and expensive considering this place is supposed to be known for cocktails. Food was also underwhelming and expensive. $19 for six tiny cheese balls??
Service was also slow, and it looked like they were possibly understaffed, with just two bartenders working on a holiday weekend. Who does that? It just felt like everything was off, from the atmosphere to the drinks to the service.
Really not the kind of experience I’d expect from a spot with such a long-standing reputation.

Rich history, home of the original Mai Tai 1944! Mark your calendars for Mai Tai Day! Great times! Highly recommended!

Trader Vic's is a long established and beloved restaurant and bar. A walk on the marina and then a sunset dinner at Trader Vic's is the perfect date. Dinner, drinks, ambience -- all perfect. Start off with the Cosmo Tidbits for sure. And though this is the home of the Mai Tai (which I love), my favorite is the Polu Puffer. I love the combination of mezcal and tartness. Chef's kiss!

Trader Vic's has been a long time favorite for Holidays and special occasions. The food is always excellent and we love the specialty cocktails. The only reason I didn't give five stars is the wait staff can sometimes be sketchy.

We dined at trader vic's on Thanksgiving and had a great time. The spread was delicious with seafood options ( clams, crabs etc). The drinks were good too. It was a tad expensive but then it was a Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving day!!
Kid-friendliness: Kids ate free.

Such a beautiful place!! The drinks were AMAZING! The food was just ok and the service wasn't very friendly. If you serve Asian fusion food you should offer chili sauce or Sriracha NOT Tabasco and make me feel bad for asking for something spicy. To end on a positive note the views were amazing!

Trader Vics was a must go to on our vacation to San Francisco area. We had a reservation made for 6 people and based our entire day on making sure we were there on time. Upon arrival, my friend was honest that not everyone was getting full dinners (mainly me, due to "lazy gut" so small portions only and also some food allergies)
Staff made us wait then moved us to a corner. No big deal. Then later another staff member came up and questioned why we chose to sit where we did when we had a reservation. I told them we were told to. It was awkward but i was with five of my favorite friends so had fun regardless.
Too many sports on the tvs and too many small children. Bathrooms were clean and drinks were good.

Great bar and restaurant, the environment is also great. It’s older school, but this is Trader Vic’s. You want some of the feelings of the OG bars from the 40s-60s. I always enjoy going here especially at sunset. I order off menu drinks, such as a navy grog, and they’re good. Staff is friendly, and the crowd can be fun.
It’s a nice place to sit and relax at.
