Go to the beach. Eat lunch. What more do you want? This place looks like all you're going to find is a sno cone or pretzel, but it is actuall a gourmet taco stand! Today had some poke tacos and the were comparable to the view, which is no small feat given the location...I will be a regular!

Amazing beach dining outdoor views on the beach!! Free parking lot above it, with lots of street parking too. Loved their food menu. Order at the cashier, and eat on the beach. There's plenty of concrete picnic tables off the sand and on the sand.
Overall, love that we can dine on the sand like that! Restrooms are also very clean. I'm definitely bookmarking this beach to visit again. I bet it's packed on the weekends and such.
Pork plate! The pork was overly saucy but still a great deal, and not bad. Our friend liked his curry tacos too. We visited on a Wednesday 12pmish in mid Oct 65F weather, on the way toward East SD. It was empty, amazing scenery, lots of free parking and seating. Good amount of surfers in the water, and people setup on the sand.

The Potato Curry Tacos are delicious! I said to hold the queso blanco, and I was offered avocado instead to make the tacos vegan. I LOVE that I didn’t even have to ask. I will be back for these whenever I go to Moonlight Beach.
For breakfast they also have an avocado toast that looks pretty special - but hold the feta if you want it animal-free.

Carnitas tacos were perfectly created. They were flavorful and ingredients were combined well. The tortillas tasted home made. My husband loved his wolf dog. The service was excellent! The employee taking the order was very polite and on task. He took his job seriously. Very pleasant experience!

I ended up getting tacos here while at the beach. I have to admit my expectations weren't high but I was pleasantly surprised. I took that last bite and was sad that it was over. Worth checking out. If you are from out of town like I am and from a region with poor quality tacos you likely will be blown away. Locals might thinks it is just another good option.

We ordered 3 bowls (poke bowl, pulled pork, and braised beef barbacoa). All 3 were delicious. We can't wait to come back and try more. The line can get long, but it moves.

Love the convenience of having a place like this right on the beach and to make it that much better the food is amazing. We got the wolf beach hot dog and the BBQ pork sandwich both were delicious and exceeded my expectations for that I assumed was a snack bar on the beach. This place alone would make me want to come to moonlight beach over other local spots. Kids also enjoyed the shaved iced we got on our way out.
Ordered smoked salmon avocado toast. Paid $18.50 for it. No salmon. Asked for the salmon. Was told it “didn’t ring up that way.” So $18.50 for plain avocado toast.

The operator of this restaurant is one of the coolest people. Always friendly and accommodating. And that’s not even mentioning the quality of the food which is AMAZING. The wolf dog is a truly elevated hot dog which makes this beach experience just that much better. Pulled pork, bacon and other toppings just hit the spot. Love this place. Try it out.

Was unfortunately closed when I came by, and previous wrote a review about it. Owner replied within 30 mins about the closure apologizing, I just wish I wasn't from out of town so I could try the barbacoa.
