This is my absolute favorite place for an amazing gnocchi. Buona Forchetta is the best and a must if you love Italian food. This time I did actually switch up my order and ordered the oriechette special with broccoli and pepperoncinis. As expected it did not disappoint. Perfect chew on the house made pasta and loved the little bit of spice that the pepperoncinis added to the dish. The artichoke appetizer was delicious as always. The vibe of the Encinitas location is definitely more intimate and homey compared to the more modern San Marcos location but if that is the vibe you're looking for Encinitas is the spot!

Excellent pizzas with many choices and toppings. Also many choices for appetizers, and side dishes. The pizza is all handmade and thin in the main center part, with a thicker crust around the edges. Tasty toppings. We like the Juna and the Giuseppe. The meatball appetizers are to die for and are served with a nice tomato sauce. We shared a spinach salad too. Casual and pleasant atmosphere and decent service, portions & prices. Good selection of beers & wines. They also offer pasta dishes and you can customize it.

The soggiest pizza I've had in a long time. Just practically inedible unless you like squishy soggy bread with ingredients on top. Not sure what happened. Also service wasn't great, the only time we spoke to our server was when we placed an order and when he brought us our check.

This is our favorite Italian restaurant in this area. They are vegan friendly, and the food is delicious.They have a small selection of vegan pizzas and have vegan cheese.My husband is from Chicago, so picky about his pizza. So far, their flatbread, is the only pizza he's found that is likes.We've ordered to-go for two large events over the past three years and everyone loved the food.

Buona forchetta is known for having a long line however their staff clearly don’t care about the customers. They told us we would have a seat quickly but after 40 minutes waiting they said there wouldn’t be a seat for 30 more minutes. We asked if we could split the party they said no. We asked to be two different parties and they pretended not to hear us. Very rude and unprofessional not giving a wait time. We wouldn’t have come here if we knew. Go to San Marcos instead!!!
Normally, I don’t leave negative reviews but they were not careful at all with food intolerances so I’m leaving this so that people with food intolerances/allergies are careful before eating here. Also, the food wasn’t very good.

Starting out with the service, could not have been any better, A+, very attentive, waiter, guy from Venezuela, drinks came right away pizza ordered came with it about four minutes, and perfect timing was my linguine and Bolognese, excellent, just like my grandmother made, this place is a true treasure 5 o’clock when it opened there were 30 people waiting in line, there’s a reason for that, that’s my new hotspot, love, this place everything about it was top shelfParking: Tons of parking across the street not an issue, just be careful lots of traffic
