The tacos were enjoyable! They came quick & were hot w/good proportions of meat & toppings. I see why the Tri tip is popular & glad I got to try the fish. Also know they use quality oil to cook because how I felt after. The service and environment was ok, maybe an off day. Either way I’ll definitely come back so my husband can try :3

Beautiful people, family owned, delicious food. Food taste home made, reminds me of my mother’s food. The Tri-tip is amazing they buy it from Seaside Market that’s is one of my favorite stores here in Cardiff, you can’t go wrong with this amazing restaurant. I spoke to the Chef and she is a lovely lady, she was making hand made tortillas. I love this place.

ORDER THE TACOS!! First thing you will notice when you enter is the place is clean and well decorated. It's small even for a taco shop, so don't plan on eating in here with a big crowd. I came here late at night while it was still raining and honestly, I wasn't expecting much. The staff was polite and friendly and I ordered one crack trip tip, one adobada taco, and one chicken taco. It was expensive. Over $20 for 3 tacos so I was ready to rate these low. I get home, open my order and they passed the visual test. They looked authentic, they weren't small, and the tortillas looked like they were made in house. Still, for the price I wasn't going to go easy on the rating.
First the crack tri tip taco and I know what yall are thinking, how authentic can they be? The answer? I don't care because they were soooo good. Maybe the seasoning was light but somehow they tasted AMAZING. Everything worked on these and honestly they were filled with so much meat I had to rate these higher than expected. They're probably a 9/10 especially for north county SD. The next taco was adobada and it looked just as good as it tasted. Easily an 8 or 9 out of 10. Dont expect them to taste like what you're used to but the flavor was all around 🔥 So now, my expectations are through the roof and im on to the chicken taco. I'm ready for this to be best chicken taco I've ever had and once I tasted it, it confirmed that no one is perfect and what was I even doing ordering a chicken taco to begin with?
Do yourself a favor and try the tacos for yourself, ESPECIALLY the crack tri tip tacos and adobada tacos. Even at two for $12 you can count on getting good quality and your money's worth.
