The staff are long-term, friendly, and familiar (I’ve enjoyed this place for 11 years and counting). I always love the art, decorations and environment. Pros: Food is delicious, the staff very friendly, and the atmosphere very nice. Great place to watch people, dogs, and cars. Cons: At busy times while you wait for a table, there isn't anywhere to sit, and once you're seated the food can take a LONG time (up to an hour) to arrive.

We come to Encinitas, California for our annual family dog beach trip and have come to the Encinitas Cafe for breakfast at least once each time. The outdoor seating for our pup is wonderful, and she loves getting scrambled eggs to have with her kibble. The food is always delicious (try the oatcakes!), the servers are always delightful, making it the perfect place to set the tone for our day at the beach. Shoutout to Dezi, our server today, for facilitating a great start for our morning.
Lunch was great our grandkids enjoyed it very much.

Amazing food, great service and really reasonable prices in a touristy town. What else do you need to know? Banana walnut pancakes are devine. The bacon is perfectly cooked, the coffee is above average and my wife’s gluten free eggs Benedict were fabulous.
