Pros: Food is delicious, the staff very friendly, and the atmosphere very nice. Great place to watch people, dogs, and cars. Cons: At busy times while you wait for a table, there isn't anywhere to sit, and once you're seated the food can take a LONG time (up to an hour) to arrive.

We come to Encinitas, California for our annual family dog beach trip and have come to the Encinitas Cafe for breakfast at least once each time. The outdoor seating for our pup is wonderful, and she loves getting scrambled eggs to have with her kibble. The food is always delicious (try the oatcakes!), the servers are always delightful, making it the perfect place to set the tone for our day at the beach. Shoutout to Dezi, our server today, for facilitating a great start for our morning.

Our party of seven was seated promptly in the back. Fun model cars surrounded our table. I had chorizo and eggs. The serving was huge and fresh off the griddle. Fresh salsa and tortillas rounded out my plate. The pancakes were rich and fluffy.

This American diner is perfect for breakfast and brunch. There are plenty of seats inside and outside, so you can accommodate a large number of people without any problems. There are counter seats inside the store, and there are pictures and photos on the inside, and there is a collection of cars in the seats in the back.The interior is simple and stylish, and the atmosphere is nice. There is a wide variety of menus, and you can choose the rice that suits you. The salad is voluminous, so it's the perfect amount to share. It contains blue cheese and is a nice accent. There are also special menus and homemade soups, so just ask the staff and they'll tell you about it. Both the owner and the staff are friendly.
