First time trying the place and first with undercooked fish with chips and last time I will ever revisit. The fish was still cold, wet, and hard.

Stoked on this place until I bought their seasoning to realize that 1/5 of the ingredients is MSG.It seemed like a genuine spot until realizing they put chemicals in the food to trick your brain into liking it.

I got a rare illness called scromboid from here. Literally was told only 10 people a year in California get this. Never coming back. Food negligence laws in California are no joke...

Usually a 30 minute wait just to order.Their kitchen is small, just one register, and a continuous line out the door and down the sidewalk.Wheelchair accessibility: 1st floor and accessible by wheelchair

We had tuna and Mahi Mahi tacos. Exceptionally fresh and tasty. Each time, 2x, we picked up and took back to our RV in the nearby State Park.

Great portions for the price. Very fresh ingredients. Loved the side salad and the blackened seasoning on my Mahi was fantastic. Will return!

Red snapper and yellow tail are delicious with butter or Chipotle. You don't have to get wild with swordfish or Tuna.Delicious salads and great chowder. Very reasonablecorkage fee!

Food is incredible, kind of a choose your own adventure. Walk up and order, and they bring it out. Kind of a sidewalk cafe mainly, always busy.

I’ve heard such great things about the Fish Shop, so I finally gave it a try. I will start by saying all the seafood seemed to be very fresh and cooked to perfection. However, I took off 2-stars because I found everything to be extremely salty and a tad overpriced. I’m not sure if they were having an off day in the kitchen or perhaps I ordered wrong, but it was a sodium overload. I left feeling extremely thirsty. For reference, I ordered the Diver Scallops with Blackened Seasoning, the Fish Shop Shrimp (recommended by the cashier) and the special of the day Fajita Shrimp Taco.I had high hopes for this place, but I can’t say that I’m jumping with joy to go back.

When we travel to SoCal we make Thursday oyster night an event on our calendar. From 4 to 6 oysters are $1.25 each - a great deal! We always get 2 dozen assorted (which is now the limit) plus a few extra items. The salads are fantastic. I recommend upgrading to the ahi or scallops. The scallops taco is also good. Scallops are not overcooked and rubbery, which I appreciate. I don't recommend anything deep-fried. French fries were barely warm and were not very crisp. Onion rings have too much batter, so we ended up peeling off a lot of uncooked dough. The calamari we ordered one visit had a heavy layer of batter. Wine is a little overpriced for such a casual place. The service is great when not too busy, with very friendly staff. They really only ring up your order at the counter and bring it to your table. We love the atmosphere but usually eat inside so we don't have to listen to traffic. If you focus on fresh seafood you will really enjoy this place.

Highly recommend - fresh and delicious seafood and a great variety of options to create your own taco/plate/salad. Everything we've tried here has been consistently good and it has become a must on our trips to this part of the country.

I would not order the clam chowder and fish n chips. The breading on the fish was dense and not flavorful and fish had a mushy texture. The chowder lacked seasoning and barely had clams in it. The other dishes looked better (tacos). Wish I had ordered that instead.

My wife and I got lunch here while visiting from out of town. We had the yellowtail with fish shop seasoning and shrimp. The fish was delicious and perfectly flaky. Both seasonings had a kick.Highly recommend eating here.

Came highly recommended by a friend who grew up out in the area, and it did not disappoint one bit. Love all the options that you can create your own experience best catered to your tastes.Make sure you buy a shaker of their seasoning to go, you'll put it on everything (we do!)

Very good fish. Had difficulties trying to get the workers to understand the question what items were actually locally sourced. Still not sure, but it was all fresh. And good!
