Wanted to give this spot 5 stars because the food is excellent. The atmosphere and the long wait times are brutal. Maybe we just hit it wrong but we were told 45 minutes wait but really was 1 hour 15 minutes. It weird that there’s an upstairs with no signage - not sure if it was part of the restaurant but the tables there were dirty.

You should check out Haggo's Tacos in Encinitas. I was just there, and it's going on my regular list of go-to restaurants when I’m in the area.

It's one of those spots that has food for everyone to enjoy. They offer meat, vegan and gluten-free choices, that all can enjoy. They do tacos right, no matter what you're eating. Plus their fresh made guacamole is a nice side to any of their entrees.

I ordered the vegan burrito that comes with sweet potatoes, quinoa, avocado, vegan cheese, greens, etc. In all honesty I can hardly consider it a burrito. The tortilla wasn't grilled, and everything inside it was cold. It would have been a pretty bland meal if they didn't have five different salsas to choose from.
