This is our favorite restaurant in Encinitas! Andrea took care of us and was knowledgeable and prompt. She made some great suggestions but ultimately we were committed to the New Zealand wagu Tomahawk steak. Perfect medium prepared over the wood fire grill. I'll be back soon for happy hour in the lounge for the happy meal.
I didn't particularly enjoy the taste of the West Coast oysters. After we finished our dinner, our server asked if we wanted dessert, and we said yes, but requested a few minutes to finish our wine. Despite that, she came back 3 or 4 times within about 5 minutes. The restaurant wasn't busy at that time, so the repeated check-ins felt a bit rushed and took away from what could have been a more relaxing ending to the meal.
Herb & Sea has been a favorite of ours for several years, but our dinner was absolutely fabulous this time. My husband and I ordered the seared tuna and it was cooked to perfection with great flavor to boot! Not a drop left on the plate. Our waiter (sorry I've forgotten his name) was delightful and attentive throughout the meal. Great service! An all around great night and our friend visiting from OOS is now a huge fan of Herb & Sea too. Thank you!
