I feel like a Star after I drank my lil mocha frapp that's why I judge books but their covers. The ambiance at this place is hipsterish cool. That's where the greatness begins and ends. I ordered a caffe latte and the disappointment was immediate upon its arrival. The drink tasted like diluted lukewarm milk with not a single hint of caffeine anywhere. It's almost as if they just ran the espresso machine with no coffee grounds; just water. Speaking of, that's what the "latte" tasted like, water from the dishwasher (don't ask how I know... lol ). I may give them another try after the barista and I have a conversation about the importance of selecting freshly ground and roasted espresso beans for a great tasting latte.

Cool atmosphere but for someone who enjoys coffee this place is terrible. They don't know how to steam milk properly and their drinks are not well balanced. I've heard good things about it but after trying it twice I was not impressed.

I love ironsmith! it's my favorite place to go when i come to encinitas!! but today, my partner who is a service member, asked for a military discount and to my surprise there isn't one. i'm confused from a veteran owned establishment that there wouldn't be a military discount. not sure if the girl wasn't sure and didn't want to figure it out but it's alright. just sucks i guess lollll

Great fresh roasted coffee in a comfortable and chic environment in Encinitas. We ordered 2 cappuccinos and the coffee was so good we bought a bag of beans to use on our espresso machine at home. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and we received our coffees quickly. Highly recommend if you find yourself in north county and need a coffee fix!
The coffee here was delicious and they definitely have a lot of options to choose from. It's a bit on the pricey side but you certainly get a neat presentation with every order. The employees are all extremely friendly and the atmosphere is really laid-back and chill, which I love. I highly recommend checking this place out if you have a chance.

Pretty good and consistent with high-quality espresso and chocolate with the Mocha.Staff was friendly enough and standard service. My latte came out in under 2min flat this past time! Unfortunately, this last time I ran up against my biggest pet peeve! Quality control on the to go cups, wasn't there. I struggled with the lid for a bit, but didn't notice the warped/flattened lip on the cup until I was well on my way. This led to a big spill and the loss of my morning latte! :( Interior is a bit smaller but airy and bright.

I visited on August 10th at 12:55 pm, so it was quite slow. We ordered the Mocha and Espresso on the Rocks. The Mocha was enjoyable, but unfortunately, the Espresso was over-extracted, resulting in an overly acidic taste and a bitter burnt aftertaste.I was disappointed by the barista's attitude, as they appeared disinterested in providing friendly service. We felt hesitant to ask for a remake due to their demeanor. While I understand that not every day can be perfect, a little smile and kindness go a long way. Perhaps my initial excitement and high expectations played a part.Despite the experience, I plan to give this coffee shop another chance next time.
