I am literally writing this at the table while I sit at the restaurant because it was so perfect!Came here with a large group for a 21st birthday and Maurizio himself welcomed our party. We couldn’t have chosen a better setting to celebrate a momentous occasion. Our food was delicious, drinks were heavenly, and the atmosphere will without a doubt have us coming back for more. I have been to Maurizio's many times since I moved in to San Diego, and I have to say it is #1 on the list of my favorite places to eat, The service is excellent and the food is great! Definitely a great place for romantic dinner and or family gatherings, I recommend it hands down.

My friend who passed away a year ago today liked this restaurant so I thought I might go in remberence. I made a reservation for just myself. I came on time and the man I spoke to seemed surprised I was eating alone. He told me since it was busy he could only seat me at the bar. I was pretty sad, I had made a reservation because I didn't want to feel lonely at the bar. But I said ok because I didn't want to be difficult. After sitting there for a moment I felt quite emotional, so I just left. I understand that things get busy on a Saturday night and would've waited longer for a table, but he made it seem like since I was alone that wasn't really an option. It already feels kind of sad to go out to eat by yourself, I just wish I could've had a good experience like the people who came in groups. In the future I hope you try to accommodate parties of one just a bit more, instead of making them feel like an inconvenience.

Wow! Wow! Wow! We have eaten here several times. The food is authentic and so delicious , and the service is excellent! The bread was fresh and warm. The Insalata della casa was fresh and so good. The pomodora with linguine was the best we’ve ever had! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you!!!
