Come hungry, the portions are huge. We had the Pipes potatoes (a bit spicy, good and well cooked), fruit cup (melon and banana), bagel w/ cream cheese (toasted to perfection but just an ok bagel, cream cheese was very sweet), oj (very fresh), cafe ai lait (good). Great location, mostly outdoor seating.

Used to go here almost daily for breakfast tacos and Milky Way mocha- have missed it everyday since we moved.
Pipe's Cafe is one of our favorite spots! My husband and I visit often, and we’re consistently impressed by the high-quality food, generous portions, and reasonable prices. The staff is always warm and welcoming, and Dana, who’s been with Pipe's since the start, sets the tone with her owner-like care and attention. The whole team—from those taking orders to the kitchen and cleaning staff—does a fantastic job. Special kudos to Roxie, who always goes out of her way to remember us and chat. We love the unlimited coffee refills—such a great perk! The relaxed atmosphere and stunning beach view make every visit perfect. Highly recommend!"

I wish this place was closer to home, we happened upon it coming from San Diego to Brea. OMG the portions are huge and the eggs are good. More potatoes than you can eat, we hope to go back soon. It was enough for us both for breakfast the next day too
A go to breakfast spot for any occasion. Personally I enjoy going there after surfing. All the food options are super good and if you want something a specific way just tell them and they can make it happen. Also super good coffee. Highly recommend.
This is truly the quintessential Southern California Mexi-influenced surfer breakfast spot. Top notch ingredients and consistent preparation. And we're talking heavy portions! But I don't do a lot of surfing, but I would need to do a lot more to enjoy any of their breakfast plates, or even the burritos and breakfast sandwich. I've them all and their winner every single time. Now I just have to get there later in the day so I can try out the burger! I'm always there too early and it's not available before certain hour.
This is also a great spot for good coffee. Free refills on the coffee goes a long way. To top it off the location, patio, outdoor seating that is not too far up from the coastline so you can see the ocean and the train pass by. It may seem busy but the line goes by fast and the rotation of diners means it's not a crazy wait for a table unless it's peak peak time.
