Solterra Winery & Kitchen

The atmosphere here is great, good music, good wine. The Tapas are decent. The downside is there entrée.
The Steak and Frites were terrible. Steak was like chewing bubblegum, the fries were ok, they weren't raw at least, but they lacked any flavor.

The only saving grace to this place was the gf options. But they don't offer any GF bun for their burgers..

Definitely womt be back for more then wine.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Solterra Winery & Cindy was an absolute gem to work with. We and our guests had a beautiful time, the food and service was amazing.

Wine was good and atmosphere was pretty decent. Our waiter showed way more attention to other tables walking by us many times without checking in. They don't do flights outside of happy hour which is a missed opportunity as a business, plus it's a winery. My partners NY strip was unevenly cooked with tons of fat. Had to grab someone, 15 mins after getting the dish, besides our waiter to let them know, man was not very considerate. They then were very quick to get us our bill and have us pay quickly compared to the rest of our service. Did not feel welcome and the food was just ok.

Just an ok set up. Here's your table nice aging French oak wine barrels and ..... forklift.....Forklift in the dining area. No taste whatsoever.

This is a great local spot for hanging out with friends. The food is reasonably priced but not always not the best quality. I had a paella and it was on the dry side. Did not try their wine on this visit planned to do so next time. I gave the service only two stars because our server was a bit forgetful. We had to remind him of our entrée and drink orders several times.

A couple girlfriends and I came here last night for taco Tuesday and it did not disappoint! The tacos, burritos, chips & salsa were all delish and I love that they have plenty of vegan options! The wines were very good too, we ended up leaving with a few bottles! Definitely need to give a shoutout to our girl Kristen who was the only one working and running around but totally took care of us. We’ll definitely be coming back again to see her and get more wine!

I planned my event at Solterra in Encinitas, and it was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food and wine were incredible, and everything flowed seamlessly.
A huge shoutout to Cindy, who went above and beyond to make the entire process stress-free and enjoyable. From planning to execution, she was attentive, organized, and genuinely cared about making the evening special for us.
I can’t recommend Solterra enough! Not only for the food and vibe but also for the exceptional service. If you’re planning an event or just looking for a memorable dining experience in Encinitas, this is the place.

Always have a great experience here. The staff is very friendly and welcoming as well as knowledgeable about the menu and wines.

Happy hour is great, and the membership is very good value for money. The atmosphere is very relaxed, good for all groups of people.

I really like the bravas and the calamari. They’ve recently changed their menu and the items look great, I look forward to trying them, so far I’ve had the sausage and it was delicious.

This place does everything well but the atmosphere it does splendidly. The building won an award for its architecture with the use of concrete wood and it is hard to miss. While it is casual and cone as you are the building oozes a sense of elegance and brings local cuisine to life. I recommend stopping in while exploring the soft and friendly Leucadia vibe in Encinitas.

We absolutely adore Solterra Winery. It’s become our local hangout and we love to frequent it regularly. Andrea, Cindy and Wil are always gracious and make us feel like family. The food and wine are always on par. Love, love, love this place. They have really upped their game with events and would highly recommend Solterra for a wonderful evening.

Had an amazing event at Solterra last week! We had our annual company party in their barrel room and front patio. Cindy and her team did an amazing job of making sure everything went smooth. The food was great, ambiance was perfect and we just had a great time. Pricing is very reasonable. Would definitely recommend it for any kind of special event.

Griffin was the best server for our date night! The food and wine were great, too, but the service was the highlight. Thank you Griffin!
