My husband and I enjoyed a late lunch here today and were completely floored by the flavor! We had the Daytona wings (omg, the blue cheese was š¤š½š¤š½), the kale & shaved Brussels sprout salad with lemon vinaigrette (wow!), and the Calabrian Crush pizza with their classic thin crust ā¦. Possibly the most perfect pizza on the planet. Iām not even exaggerating.
Our server Megan was an absolute delight, super helpful, humorous, and attentive. I think the other girl we interacted with was Sarah? - so down to earth & easy to laugh with.
The entire experience could not have been any better. Really grateful for this local landmark, protect it at all costs! š«¶š¼

The energy, the crowd, and the neighborhood vibe are exactly what make this place special. It truly feels like a local gathering spotātheir own version of Cheersāwhere you instantly feel at home. The food and drinks continue to deliver, but the real standout remains the service. Coming from the hospitality industry, I can confidently say this team knows how to create a consistently great experience. Francis, in particular, brings passion, wit, and genuine warmth that makes every visit memorable. Places like this are rare. Grateful to have a spot I can return to again and again.

It breaks my heart to write this, but I truly hope it helps the restaurant. I donāt know whatās changed at Besta Wan, but the food just isnāt what it used to be. Weāve been loyal customers for over 20 years, and the last few visits have feltā¦ different. The remodel looks fantastic, but unfortunately the upgrades donāt make up for the shift in food quality. Their pizza used to be the best around, and now it just doesnāt have that same magic. I genuinely hope things improve because this place has meant a lot to our family for a long time.

We were torn on the Cheef pizza or the special Chicago Sausage pizza. The cheef is an Italian beef pizza that hits your cravings without ordering a bunch of beef sandwiches. We ultimately decided to go with the sausage as it was a weekly special. The owner knew we were torn between the two and suggested doing half and half. What a perfect combo! This is true Chicago style tavern pizza in the heart of Southern California (can't beat the views in Cardiff!) The leftovers were just as good, with a mastered reheating method. A little oil in a frying pan hit with a small amount of water and covered to melt the cheese and toppings. What a taste of home!
