The Short-rib nachos are amazing and can split with 2-4 people. Great location to watch some games, grab drinks with friends, or casual bite after hanging at the beach. Great place to go year round but can get really crowded on days that are sunny/summer days when the beach is crowded. This goes for all of downtown

Great place to go on a sunny afternoon. We enjoyed the outdoor seating along South 101. The food was great. I had the fish and chips. And my wife have the tri-tip sandwich. Portions are ample and the prices are slightly high but that is to be expected.

The Bier Garden had been one of my cornerstone "Go To" places in Encinitas for a few years. Yesterday afternoon (Halloween) I stopped by with 2 other friends.As always their draft beer selection and service was solid with zero issues.However, the short rib nachos appetizer was beyond horrible!! Literally, it was an over priced " blob" of tasteless nachos and strange tasting meat (my opinion) that had my stomach "churning" for the entire night.Side note - thinking back now - was shocked how quickly "this short rib nachos appetizer plate" was presented to us after placing the order - like in under 45 seconds?Beyond disappointed with this food selection - if I decide to ever visit again it will be to only drink~

I love Biergarden - it is an easy go-to and always has a short wait or no wait for sitting.However I recently went and we sat for a while waiting for our waitress (like straight up waiting so long we knew our order for food and drinks and it was becoming comical). Long story short she never came. I know her name but honestly don't feel like calling her out.Fast forward a waiter, who clearly felt bad for us came over and asked if we had been helped. He then was like I gotchu and proceeded to be our server. He was hilarious and joked with us and was straight up great. Shout out MIGUEL!The prior waitress then went up to Miguel and clearly was pissed he took her table. He then transferred everything to her and she proceeded to ignore us all evening and never say hello. We had to ask Miguel for our check by getting up from the table. The waitress than came over and was like uh you want your check.I was pissed bc I wanted my tip to go to Miguel and not her.Management: promote Miguel and get rid of the other waitress with an entitled attitude.
