This place was recommended by a friend of mine and our family was glad to give it a try.
Food was delicious and plentiful.
Service was pretty solid, but seemed a little slow and they were forgetting parts of peoples orders.
If they tightened that aspect up this place would be 5 stars across the board.
I wouldn't hesitate to stop by again though.

Food was mediocre and overpriced. Churros were not well cooked inside and overall bland. On the positive side, staff was friendly. Also, fresh made tortillas. Enough said.

Who puts pico de gallo in a California burrito? Why would you purposely cool a hot burrito with cold salsa that doesn’t fit any of the other ingredients? This Taco Stand is very slow, despite having a lot of employees and not that many customers.

The quality of this place has dropped significantly. . Ordered a shrimp quesadilla and it was mainly tortilla. The carne asada fries has barely meat shredded into it. It was mostly fries.

We ate there for the first time while meeting friends from the area, and everything was delicious. Special shout out for tacos al pastor! Great taste, fair price, and excellent customer service. There's a reason they have a line out the door!!

Following the advice of a friend, reading the reviews, and above all seeing the long queue... We decided to go in? Open kitchen, very busy evening and yet they served us quickly I had an exceptional fish taco (gluten-free).

The person working as cashier right before closing tonight was extremely rude and derogatory. He got visibly mad when I was placing my order because I had a few items with customizations for allergens. It felt like wanted to start a physical altercation, this person doesn’t belong in customer service, and honestly someone like this tarnishes the brand…you should probably reconsider having him onboard.

I used to frequent their La Jolla location on a monthly basis and my wife and I would go to this location for late night tacos on date nights. I'm extremely disappointed with my latest visit. The size of the burrito has shrunk again and now the carne asada burrito has bean FILLER. The why would you put bean filler into a carne asada burrito? You're the Taco Stand NOT Taco Bell ? Not to mention they limit salsa to 1 tiny container that's barely half filled. Taco Stand you broke my heart.
Update: The Encinitas location is just no good. Their staff isn't very well trained in customer service.
