I miss our San Diego location so much. When I was heading to my grandsons soccer game, I recognized the shopping center while sitting at the light. Made the suggestion to see if my favorite citrus fish tacos was still around. So off we went after the big win. Did not disappoint! Music was good, just a tad loud. Felt like I had to shout over it.

Really cool spot off the beaten path. You would never guess such a tastey treat would be hidden inside a random shopping center, but here it is! I had the shrimp tacos with the slaw, and it hit the spot. I feel great right now! It is a healthier alternative as well. The service was friendly and fun, and on top of it. Fast with no quailty lost. Will be back!!!

T'was my first time ever at a Wahoo's Fish Taco restaurant. A bit more expensive than I expected but the food was excellent and abundant. The young man at the counter, Jeremy, was a really great kid and the manager and owner should both be very happy to have him there. He knew the menu inside and out without even looking at it and made several recommendations that turned out to be spot-on.He was also quite responsible - even when on his break he took the initiative to hop out of his seat and cover the ordering counter when there wasn't anyone there.

The food was amazing!!!And the staff was top notch. The carnitas were perfect.Dietary restrictions: They don't use olive oil. I'm allergic/intolerant to the fake olive oils many restaurants use so this is greatly appreciated.

Usually our experience at the Costa Mesa Wahoos is amazing, every time we come in from Arizona we make sure to stop by.But this time we came to the Encinitas location. This restaurant deserves three stars from me solely because one of the female employees that checked us out.We were first in line and she didn’t greet us as we were standing there waiting. Instead she looks at the regulars behind us and says “are you ready” to them and their rude selves proceed to just walk ahead of us anyway without even asking if we were in line.We decided to not make it a big ordeal and let the mistake pass. But once we finally get to the check out she greets us with a sassy attitude saying “are you ready now?”I don’t understand why great locations hire snotty people who ruin the experience. This location is great otherwise than the experience with this employee. Check her.Never write reviews but this was really annoying hearing her speak to my girlfriend in the tone of voice that she did. Can understand if she was a teenager but this was a whole woman.

This is MY FAVORITE restaurant, and it's the last of its kind in San Diego. Rubio's is taking over but I don't understand how, because a Fish bowl from Wahoos slays anything on the Rubios menu, and Rubios has zero atmosphere. Whereas Wahoos has a SoCal vibe and plays great music.Take everyone you know to eat here and keep them in business.Vegetarian options: Banzai burrito with rice and beans. You'll be very happy. Side of citrus slaw. I personally don't eat vegetarian, but I add fish to the banzai veggies which have cooked mushrooms, broccoli, and some other veggies I'm forgetting because I'm getting hungry typing this.Dietary restrictions: They pull the peppers out of their banzai veggies mix if you don't want peppers. They hand pick them and they don't complain ever.Parking: Easy to park within 50 feet of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Photos of kids on the walls, lots of extreme sports photos and surfboards, skateboards, etc for decoration. Great music too. Fun vibe.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, sincle floor restaurant and would be easy to wheel through their layout.

We're from OC, land of the OG Wahoos. Sad there is only one location down in San Diego but likely we moved close by. The shrimp tacos with citrus slaw are a must have along with the Maui onion rings They also have great/cheap beers of the month that pair well with the tacos. Service is always fast and friendly!

Wahoo’s Fish Taco has always been one of my favorites since I was a child. They have such great food & the employees are always very friendly. Fun fact, I lost my first tooth at this location, so it will always have a special place in my heart and I will always make sure to stop here when I’m in town. Carlos took our order today and was very nice. He recommended the rice krispy treat and it was phenomenal!
