Burros were decent, fries were awful. I wouldn't normally dock a place hard on fries but man, it's in the name. You created an expectation! And you half met it. I liked both burritos and the salsa was good, and the prices were okay. But I've had better fries at BK, which I should never have to say about any place.

The carnitas burrito I got today had chunks of fat in it and it looked like they didn't drain the meat before putting it in the tortilla. It was dripping with grease, so I didn't finish the burrito and threw it in the trash. Perhaps their other burritos are better, but after my experience today, I doubt I'll try them.

Really great food at a great price. Big portions and food is delicious. Best cali burrito I’ve gotten in the area. Great salsa which they give you a lot of. Churros are the best. Recommend for everyone and will be a regular customer.

I mistakenly ordered a Baja shrimp burrito for dinner last night and even more mistakenly, opened it up to look at it. Small cheap shrimp swimming in watered down mayo sauce. Disgusting

I avoided this place for the first three years. I lived in Escondido, not knowing what an amazing place it is. To be honest, it was the cartoon mascot that made it seem like it was a gimmick style place, when in actuality, this place is legit amazing. The prices have gone up over the last couple of years, but for the portion and the quality and taste of the food, it is worth what they are charging. I only scored the atmosphere a 3 because I have always used the drive-through, and it is a bit tough to navigate and get in and out of.

One of the best burrito places, if not the best, in town. Fantastic breakfast burritos. Just be prepared to wait a bit for the high quality you are getting. Have not had an item in the menu I did not enjoy.Update for 2024:Overall still consistently good quality but not quite what it used to be years ago. Maybe it's suppliers or maybe it is recipe changes, just not quite as good as they used to be. Still solid and largely no complaints any time I go there.

Ordered the grilled chicken chips and a number of things. The grilled chicken was not even cooked thoroughly. It was still pink in the middle and I practically just ate chips after throwing the chicken out. There were hard french fries in my food when I did not ask for French fries for one, and why are there old, hard French fries not being thrown out? First time ordering from here and will not order again.

The worst California burrito I have ever had. I couldn't tell where the meat started and the potatoes ended. It was a congealed pile of mush wrapped in a tortilla. They cooked the salsa Fresca! Not really salsa Fresca when it's cooked is it. This caused all the acid from the tomatoes to completely dominate the flavor of the mushy mess.

The last few times I've ordered beef here it has been grisly-- meaning chewy and fatty. Yuck. The chicken was decent but I won't be ordering carne asada here again. Price is not right for that low quality beef.

This place has my favorite breakfast burrito in my area out of 5 places I tried because you can get one with hashbrowns most places give u home fries soft chunks. Farmer Brothers just as good or a close 2nd it's farther away. Horchata not that good, kind of watery artificial tasting. Carne Asada burrito close to Albertos and that's what I've tried so far with 5 stars for the Hashbrown Breakfast Burrito. Busy hours call ahead if u want to go drive-thru so they have ur order ready for you and not clog the line up with a fresh order on the spot. Or if u see a huge line just go in and pick it up all ready to go.

Found a rock or a piece of stone or something in our refried beans. I was chewing and felt something hard. Looks like a piece of stone or knife?? Pretty big.

There's a large menu....we all ordered different items. When we ordered, we ordered to eat in. We waited a long time for our food...I noticed some to go orders were at the counter....it turned out, it was our food...the staff saw us sitting at a table....but our number/order was never called...I happened to go up to the counter....finding out that was our food. It was also uncomfortably cold in the restaurant....when I mentioned it....I was told it was cold.
