GREAT PLACE! LOVE THERE FOOD! SUPER SAD TO SEE THEM CLOSING. HOPING FOR A RECIPE BOOK SOON!. GO TRY THEM BEFORE OCT. 31, 2019.
Love the tacos ! Very good service & food.
What more can you want in a Mexican Restaurant? Family-owned and -operated. As result, the service is cheerful and prompt. (Bravo Cristina). If you can even find a gordita elsewhere in North County it won't be as good. They're amazing. Negra Modelo and Pacifico on tap. I'm going there tonight!
Food, drinks, service are always so amazing! Little Gem of Escondido
One of our absolute favorite Mexican restaurants. Enchiladas and Chile rellenos are bomb!
Mexican food at this spot - great. Service is consistently good. The bill won't shock you.
Great food good service nice place to have an intimate dinner
Great customer service! We were greeted with a smile immediately apon walking through the door. Our waiter was very friendly, prompt and helpful. Unfortunately, all the food was bland, tough, unseasoned and just plain awful. Starting with the complementary house chips and salsa. The chips were homemade but hard and stale tasting from the old oil. The salsa was decent but nothing special, just a red sauce and the right amount of spicy. My coke was watered down and my friends horchata tasted like a watered down version of milk with sugar. It was the worse horchata I've ever tasted. Now on to the main course, Plate 1: a shredded beef gordita with 2 shredded beef taquitos and a side of rice and beans. Toppings were as expected, nothing special but fresh and made to order, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and guacamole. The taquitos were stuffed with the most bland and toughest meat I've ever had to chew. It was a good chewing on each bite of flavorless meat. It literally had zero flavor other than fresh deep fried oil. The gordita had a tiny more flavor but only because of the tomatoes and cheese. The meat was a little better than the taquitos, you could tell it had cooked a little bit longer and therefore was more tender. The rice was definitely just as boring as every thing else for flavor. The beans on the other hand had enough salt in them to solidify as a salt lick for horses. My taste buds went into shock after tasting the beans from all the overpowering salt. Good thing I had plenty of water with some coke flavor to wash it all down. Main course Plate 2: was 5 shredded beef taquitos, and it too was also very disappointing, meat was incredibly chewy and unflavoured. The last thing on the order was the churros with a side of chocolate sauce. They went into the trash after 2 bites. Tasted like stale Bisquick batter had been deep fried and then covered in sugar, i couldn't even taste cinnamon. They were also tough on the ends from frying and the middle filling reminded me of dried out bread. The chocolate sauce was ok, it was literally Hershey's Chocolate sauce in a tiny plastic cup and it too was slightly watered down as the viscosity was not how it should be. The churros were the most disappointing thing I had on the menu. This restaurant has the potential to become great if they get a REAL Chef. The main issue here is the unseasoned food that is not cooked properly. The food was fresh, service was spectacular and the prices were competitive. BUT the food is just awful! Please hire a new chef, fix your drinks and you will have a wonderful business.
Cozy little restaurant with what tastes like homemade traditional Mexican food.
Good place for quality mexican food. Fast and courteous service.

mexican food, yeah, so fresh. Certainly worth a return visit. Prices that won't break you. I see why this place has a lot of great reviews.
For all you do do not show up 15 minutes before closing.... you won't get served and you'll get sent away .....I guess they don't want customers money. Something about running out of food but it was more they didn't want to have the kitchen stay open longer. If I had a restaurant , even if was going to be passed the 7:30 to cook it if someone shows up at 7:15 and my store is still open , i would still make their food even if I'm going to be there a little longer because customers come first....
Outstanding location for quality Mexican food. I should have took a photo of the food but it was too good to interrupt. The service here is attentive. Prices were fair for the quality of the food.
My favorite spot for Mexican food. Got there about three, it wasn't crowded. The service was sociable and attentive. Bring your appetite because portions are filling.
Mexican food, so great. It has an awesome atmosphere. Feels like a place in Los Angeles I loved.
